The Kindness Lock-In ((RFish))

Camille was still against Lochlan's proposal to introduce a dueling system, so she decided to throw one big, supervised sleepover in the gym! Since Discordia had to be patted down, everyone would be patted down as they entered. Any drugs, wands, anything potentially dangerous would be confiscated until the end of the lock-in. As it was near the end of the week, students were told to grab their pajamas and anything they needed for sleep before coming to the gym following their last class. There'd be no regular dinner due to the nature of the event, so pizzas were being prepared in the kitchens. The gym was under a spell to magically expand to accommodate all of the safe, clean fun that would be in the gym from now to the morning hours! She thought this would be an excellent opportunity for all of the students at Hogwarts to find out how much they have in common with their fellow classmates; she wanted them to get along instead of fighting!

In the gym was a table full of light snacks and treats along with various non-alcoholic beverages that were warded against any spiking attempts. Various activities were set up throughout the gym such as wizard's chess, gobstones, skittles, ice breaker activities, and so much more! The gym was adorned in star-and-moon decorations and various soothing, colorful lights. This was going to be so fun! For the actual sleeping part, students would be divided by gender, so they'd sleep on the side of the gym that led to their appropriate changing room. Otherwise, house boundaries were virtually non-existent for this event to promote harmony and togetherness.

Stepping to her podium in cute, casual loungewear, Camille waved at the students and exclaimed, "I hope you're all excited for a whole entire night of safe, clean fun! Now that you're all in here, you are unable to go out until tomorrow morning. I hope we all use this chance to get to know each other and get along! Have fun!"

"That's the whole point of an apology, James. To forgive someone."

He eyed over him irritably, then glanced at Macmillan. What was he talking about? He gave him a strange look. Perhaps at this point he was just calling out anything to steer his attention away from James. He looked at Lien as well. The boy's arms were folded across his thin chest. He was looking at Atticus as though he might slap him or something.

"He'll tire of you eventually, Lien. Just like he does with everybody and everything else." He'd said something similar to James when they had ended everything.

Then there was a tap on his shoulder, and he turned around. "It's nothing, Alayna. I'm just fed up with him."

Lien sighed loudly at Atticus.

"I think you've said everything you want to say now, Atticus. Just leave it. James is just trying to get by, he gets enough criticism from everyone on a daily basis."

He looked over at Alayna and her pet standing somewhere in the distance, grinning away. Argh. Lien forced himself to look elsewhere. Their faces were enough to get his blood boiling again.

Alayna looked at her Ptolemy, then James and Lien and then back to her brother, "Come on. It's not worth it. It's not like it would even be a fun fight with no wands. Let's just get out of here." She said trying to talk her brother away from the edge. But when Lien spoke and started defining James she scoffed, "Oh yeah. Let's not criticize the guy who fucks people to try and hurt me. Probably why he's trying to fuck you now cuz lord knows Ptolemy has more standards than to touch... That. And he's not gay."

"Just go, Atticus. I've been doing my best to leave you both be, as you've requested, but some-fucking-how that means it's okay for the two of you to bother me whenever opportunity strikes."

James wiped a lonesome tear going down his cheek. He'd never tire of Lien. Why did everyone want him to be a deadbeat in every facet of life? He was grateful to hear Lien defend him, even if it was just a small comment. It was a tense, awkward situation to be in.

He began chewing his lip again feeling uneasy at the added presence of Alayna and her pet. How lucky everyone was to not have their wand. Finally, he smiled over at Lien. He just wanted to cry for a minute or two.

"Lien and I are friends. Bloody best friends, even. I'm abstaining from sex."

Discordia, grabbing a straw, slowly marched to a student within the gymnasium to try and fix them with it. She had to make do.

Now that his sister was there, he felt more at ease. He nodded to her, feeling his throat ceasing up from all the accusations and heated words that came from his mouth. Everyone that James seemed to come into contact with suffered somehow. He was like a leech, or a bad omen. A dementor, he thought.

He turned, tugging at Alayna's arm. "Let's just get out of here..."

Lien just glared at Alayna, holding his tongue.

Alayna could handle anything they threw at her. But she wasn't going to let them attack Atticus like that. Since Atti had already laid into James, she turned her focus to lien. She smiled wickedly at him, "Oh I can see those gears turning, Lien. Come on. Say what's on your mind. Unless daddy Potter said you had to stay quiet. Gotta listen to master, don't ya?" She looked at Atticus with a determined look on her face, "I'm tired of these fuckers always trying to fuck with us."

"I don't control anybody, cuntpreme bitchness. I know that's a hard concept for you to understand seeing as you have your own personal pussy eater, but leave Lien alone. You provoke him any chance you get, and everyone wonders why he tries to put an end to it..."

Lien reached out and held James's arm, so that he would stay where he was.

"It's all right, James. Don't worry about it. Just ignore her."

James took a deep breath and nodded feeling comforted once again by Lien's touch.

"You're right, Lien. I just don't like how she keeps bothering us..."

Wade came crashing into the changing rooms, glowered at all the pricks standing there having some kind of scuffle, then kicked open the stall door. He then proceeded to take an extremely loud piss that seemed to go on forever.

Alayna was about to say something else when Mackenna burst through and just destroyed all the tension. She rolled her eyes and take her brothers hand, "Come on, let's go." She then took Tollys hand in her free hand and walked both boys out of the room, "As soon as I get my wand back it's game on"

"Don't talk to my sister like that, Potter," Atticus said acidly, glowering at him. Why did he get away with saying that sort of thing to her? Then someone started pissing in one of the stalls. He didn't know why, but he suddenly found himself trying hard not to laugh.

Macmillan blinked trying to lighten up the mood even with the audibly loud pissing.

"So, guys, what's your favorite kind of pizza? I like pineapple..."

Mei was standing near the drinks, minding her own business when all of a sudden some girl came at her eye with a straw. She squealed and fell a backwards as she tried to get away from the crazy girl.

Discordia began aiming towards the eye only to hit her cheek to no effect.

Curling his tongue inside of his cheek, Ptolemy pushed himself off the pillar he was leaning against and eyed up the back of MacKenna's head. He hadn't even bothered to close the stall door. Half of it was going over the seat. Ptolemy scrunched his nose in utter disgust, pushing him forward and slamming the door closed himself.

"Oi! Who the fuck was that?!"

"Revolting boy. And when there is a Lady present..."

Mei hit the ground hard when she had tried to avoid the object coming at her eye. For a moment, her breath left her in a humph. Then the girl was coming at the again. She just barely managed to turn her head enough to avoid having her eye poked out and instead was poked in the cheek. ”ouch! What are you doing?

Lien also found himself trying not to laugh. Nothing Alayna said seemed to matter as much when someone was taking a long, echoing slash.

Alayna smiled at Ptolemy. Always her knight in shining armour, ready to defend her honor. That was a real man. Not like pathetic Potter and 2 pump chump Chang. She grabbed his chin and kissed him, "I fucking love you." She looked over at her brother, "But seriously it smells like testosterone and disappointment in here. Can we leave?"

"Fixing you..."

Wasn't it obvious? She had zero access to anything that could puncture, a straw was the best she could do. Discordia reached over her trying yet again to get her eye.

James felt major relief when their adversaries slowly began to leave. They were barely in the gym, and he'd already been involved in two scuffles. He hoped that'd be the last of them.

"Wade does this all the bloody time in the common room bathrooms," he said to Lien much calmer than he was moments ago.

After she stole a fierce kiss from him, Ptolemy was eager to do whatever she requested. He nodded, took her arm, and steered her out of the changing rooms. Supposedly Atticus would follow. He did, but he looked rather forlorn about the entire episode. What was up with him, anyway? Was he envious of Lien or something? Then again, he felt like he hardly knew Atticus, despite knowing him for the same amount of time as Alayna.

"Although we missed what seemed to be a spectacular show, Atticus, you can rejoice at making Potter cry in front of all of us." He laughed haughtily. "My, you must have really, really hurt his poor feelings." He pretended to pout.

Lazar found himself running through the gym trying to catch his chocolate frog. He just wanted a little sweet!
