The Kindness Lock-In ((RFish))

Camille was still against Lochlan's proposal to introduce a dueling system, so she decided to throw one big, supervised sleepover in the gym! Since Discordia had to be patted down, everyone would be patted down as they entered. Any drugs, wands, anything potentially dangerous would be confiscated until the end of the lock-in. As it was near the end of the week, students were told to grab their pajamas and anything they needed for sleep before coming to the gym following their last class. There'd be no regular dinner due to the nature of the event, so pizzas were being prepared in the kitchens. The gym was under a spell to magically expand to accommodate all of the safe, clean fun that would be in the gym from now to the morning hours! She thought this would be an excellent opportunity for all of the students at Hogwarts to find out how much they have in common with their fellow classmates; she wanted them to get along instead of fighting!

In the gym was a table full of light snacks and treats along with various non-alcoholic beverages that were warded against any spiking attempts. Various activities were set up throughout the gym such as wizard's chess, gobstones, skittles, ice breaker activities, and so much more! The gym was adorned in star-and-moon decorations and various soothing, colorful lights. This was going to be so fun! For the actual sleeping part, students would be divided by gender, so they'd sleep on the side of the gym that led to their appropriate changing room. Otherwise, house boundaries were virtually non-existent for this event to promote harmony and togetherness.

Stepping to her podium in cute, casual loungewear, Camille waved at the students and exclaimed, "I hope you're all excited for a whole entire night of safe, clean fun! Now that you're all in here, you are unable to go out until tomorrow morning. I hope we all use this chance to get to know each other and get along! Have fun!"

Macmillan chuckled rather unfazed by whatever James and Lien were up to further down in the changing room.

"Merlin, those uniforms get me so sweaty and itchy after a long day of classes that being shirtless feels freeing. I loathe feeling constricted by fabric."

Smirking, he added, "Somebody had to be the eye candy, might as well be me."

Be his eyes for the night? "Well, if we get the vent opened, you can wear them as we get through it."

He scooted closer to Lien and rested his one arm on top of his shoulder to get a better angle to the vent cover.

"Let's see if this works..."

Licking his lips, he bent the glasses a certain way and began wrapping it around the bolt's edge making an attempt to unscrew it. "Can ya reinforce my arm? Might get some more force in..."

"That's if they don't snap..."

James was extremely close. He caught the scent of whatever shampoo he used and immediately felt very comforted by it. A warm feeling filled his chest. Nodding, he held onto James's arm and looked at the bolts excitedly. If this actually worked...

The bolt nudged only slightly; this was going to take a while. He liked the way Lien's arm felt around him. His touch was always so gentle. It was soothing.

He never felt so at ease before; it was hard to believe that just moments ago, he was on edge and extremely irritable following the spat he had with Al. It did help to be away from the rest of the school. He'd be content just sitting beside Lien all night. On that note, he didn't want to ruin Lien's eyes.

"Maybe we need something stronger than glasses..."

James handed Lien his glasses back and started reaching for his own belt; the trousers he was wearing, as he wasn't going to change into his pajamas this early, were a bit too loose, so he had to bring out a belt.

"Let's try my belt buckle."

"Yeah..." Macmillan was kind of naughty. Argh. He couldn't work out how he felt about everything! Atticus was chewing down on his bottom lip.

Alayna looked over at the potters and smirked, "Pity the potters are arguing." When he suggested they go over to Albus, she raised an eyebrow before realizing what he meant, "Yes! Of course we should! No Slytherin left behind." She said taking his hand and leading him over to Mackenzie and Albus, "Hey. You ok, Potter?"

"I mock enough people to know what it looks like. So save your sass." She frowned a bit at what he said about Alayna bad ptolemy not caring about her, "They care. It's just. Anew relationship. They're in a honeymoon stage." She doubted that was true. Alayna and Ptolemy we're perfect for each other. She was just a third wheel. "What do you mean human interactions? Like you aren't a human."

Siobhan laughed as Wade and Andy debated ways of escape. She clutched her side as the giggles spilled out for her, "Got any plans that night actually work?" She asked as she tried to stifle her giggles.

Ptolemy stood at Alayna's side proudly, looking at Albus.

"Your brother's mind is unfathomable. You were only apologising. Why couldn't he just accept that?"

He sighed, crossing his arms over his chest.

Hermione decided to play some calming zen music over the intercom into the gym in hopes that it'll help calm students down. After all, from what she was hearing via crystal message, a lot of them were either confused or annoyed.

"I guess ya don't have any explosives?" There was no way she could have got those past the pat down if certain books were being confiscated. "Yeah... no. The only way ya could've got those through would be stickin' 'em up your arse. Or in ya--"

"No. They even found the tiny one in my boot. So no luck." Siobhan narrowed her eyes at him before he stopped speaking, "Wade. The only thing enters me there is you. And I haven't even let you go in the other door. So I certainly wouldn't stick an explosive up it." She said shoving him with a laugh, "You're a moron."

"It really is quite. Shame when people don't see the hand your holding out to them. Especially a member of your own family." Alayna said giving Albus a look of empathy.

Marilyn frowned when she saw Wadeykins with that pyromaniac whore. She was going to find her sister!

"Evelyn, where are you?!"

Lien nodded, putting his glasses back on. Now James was very sharp - and still very close. He felt himself flush, and inched back a little bit. "All right, let's try that," he agreed, trying to pass it off as giving him some space for the leverage.

He switched to sitting on his knees not particularly caring if the tops of his pants were showing; despite what some may think, he did have a degree of modesty. James licked his lips as a part of his brain flickered to an image of Lien holding him at his hips and-

James blinked and started to imagine Fred's girly magazines to be normal enough to work on unscrewing the bolts.

"I think we're getting somewhere with this..."

Biting his lip, he grunted as he twisted his belt buckle around the bolt.

"Y'know, you've given me the idea to plot out the vents once this bullshit's done. Wanna help with that?"

Macmillan's head towards the sound of the grunt.

"What's going on over there?"

"How perceptive of you," he muttered, clearly mocking her. "That would be because I'm not human. I hate humans, actually. All your false friendships and petty jealousies: when it boils down to it, every last one of you are as self-serving as us vampires." He laughed dryly. "There is one thing that I like about humans, though."

He'd heard it as well. "I thought I heard something about a belt..." he said quietly, trying hard not to chuckle. "That's definitely James. I recognise that grunt anywhere." Heh.

He laughed.

"You ain't ever been tempted to put anythin' else up there?" Also - did that mean the back door wasn't completely off the cards?!

Carina looked at him with wide eyes, a bit of fear shined through in them, but she quickly shook it away, "And what would that one thing be?" She asked, even though she already knew the answer.

Siobhan Blushed and shook her head, "No. At least not things that aren't meant to go up there." Her blush increased, "stop it." She knew he was doing it on purpose. To see her get all wound up, "Unless you plan to take me somewhere and do something about it."

He watched James's shoulders, and his arms, as they were put under strain. It was oddly satisfying to watch, and he wondered how firm his muscles felt when they were taut like that. He was only stirred back to reality by the feeling of his mouth turning dry. Apparently he'd been gaping.

"I can't believe getting out of here could be this easy. I suppose I could help, but it doesn't seem too fun to be crawling around on my hands and knees for a long time..."
