Maverick was looking for Hazel, for Kyler, for any of his family who might be caught up in the fray so that he could help them, to make sure they weren't taken or harmed. Though, it was proving harder than he had thought it would be to find any of them. Instead, he ran into another familiar face. "Malia! It's a warzone down here, you should be up at the castle." Maverick had hooked up with Malia before he had started dating Fiona, and he didn't think poorly of her. So, he figured he would try his best to at least get her to safety if he could.

When the lion spoke to her and asked her get to safety. She gave him a laugh, how sweet of him to be all cute and defensive towards her. Stupid enough to not see that Malia was planning to attack him and gain her prize for his wretched sister, and she walked closer and laughed. "Why go someplace where my skills won't be utilized, and you ought to know. As your sisters would be fighting too."[/lb she said with a shrug, and she had let out another laugh, [b]"Shouldn't you be with Fiona, anyway?" walking closer and closer to him.

Maverick knew that Malia was part of the elite of Hogwarts, and he knew that a lot of them members of that group disliked his family. But Malia hadn't seemed to dislike him when they had been sneaking off to an abandoned classroom between classes. Though, he could tell now that something wasn't quite right. It was the way she spoke of her skills being of use, the way she just laughed at his concern. It set him on edge. "I know my sisters will be fighting." He didn't like it, and that was part of the reason he was trying to find them, to make sure they stayed safe. He was on edge, his wand at the ready as she kept moving closer. "Fiona is safe, far away from here." He said, one thing he had to be relieved about in all of this.

Always trying to save the day and be the proud Lion, made her sick. She didn't want to torture Maverick, but she wanted his ass to fall. No man told her what to do not even Vidar, and she got her wand out, and she had said with a grin. "Now why would I take orders from a man? I don't want to docked, and you know they say there is nothing more hotter than a woman fighting." she grinned. "Shall we duel? I promise I won't kill you, I'm more right in the head than this lot." she chuckled.
