Cat was taking Professor Jackson's assignment very seriously, and she wanted to recruit people. She liked singing and already got Grayson and Luna involved. She needed more people and was determined to get people involved to make this work.

She had a clipboard, and looking like a school girl ready to get people to join.

She had a lot to prove and being part of Luna's friend group meant she had a target on her back, so no one took her seriously, and she didn't care much for the good kids. She had been standing and waiting until she spotted the perfect candidate.

"Sexy Cartwright, you are joining the Glee club."

Maverick had just finished with quidditch practice, his hair was still wet from showering down at the pitch before he had headed back up to the common room to see what he might be able to find to do. He ended up being very underwhelmed by what he found in the common room. That is, until Cat had managed to spot him. A smirk came to his lips as she referred to him as Sexy Cartwright but it turned out to an all out laugh when she went on. ”Now why in Merlin’s name would I do that?” Maverick in the glee club? He didn’t even know what a bloody glee club even was if he was being honest. All he knew was that it didn’t sound like something he would ever join. Maverick was a jock, not glee club material. At least, he was pretty sure he wasn’t but still, he had no idea what a glee club was even about.

Cat liked to believe that everyone could sing, even silly dumb jocks. And having someone like Maverick in the club, it would be nice for her to look at in all fairness. She gave him a bit of a smile on her face, "It's a singing club and your hot. Imagine how all the females would react to Maverick Cartwright singing, and being a teen heartthrob."

She'd totally get in his pants, "I might even trade you for something, if you join." she said sneaking him a bit of a fiirty smirk. He was very attractive, and she was going to anything to get people to join. "It's a lot of fun, and I think your little brother is dying to join the club too. Imagine two brothers?"

Maverick couldn't help but to laugh when she told him that it was a singing club. Sure, he knew he was hot and that all of the girls would probably be clawing their way into the club if he were to join but it just was not his scene at all. "Yeah, I will not be joining that. I don't sing." He said, putting it out there plainly that he had no intentions of joining her little Glee Club.

Then she spoke all flirty and he smirked. "Oh, and what would you have in mind to trade?" Because he wasn't about to try to make a fool of himself in this club... But if she was offering something good then he wasn't stupid. He could at least humor her. Then he raised a brow when she mentioned his brother. "He is more than welcome to join, he doesn't need me to hold his hand." Maverick said, not thinking that his little brother wanting to join had much to do with him at the end of the day.

Cat had many ways that she would try and convince Maverick to join. She dated Louis Weasley, last year, and she could sense the denial in his voice. "And you think getting all sweaty has all the girls all over you?" she pointed out. She felt like a guy who could sing was far more attractive. "You could spend an evening with me, and who is going to resist being able to sleep with Catalina Calderon, I'm one of the hottest girls, in the school."

It's a title she took a lot of pride in.

"You are hot, and you would make a great addition. Plus I hear Ethan Layton wants to join, and we both know he'd do anything to get into Emerald's pants." she pointed out. It was true, he had the hots for Emery, and boy she hoped Maverick would play the roll of the good big brother.

Maverick had never in his life had any issue finding one girl or another to spend the evening with him. They liked that he was on the quidditch team and that he was confident in himself. Then again, he was sure that his looks didn't hurt either. "It's worked pretty well so far." He said with a shrug of his shoulder. He was never hard up for finding someone to keep him company. A smirk came to his lips as she mentioned spending the evening with her. "Someone's confident. Lucky for you, I like confident." That and it was true, she was one of the hotter girls in the school. But he wasn't about to make a fool of himself just to have an evening with her. He was about to say but when she went on.

He frowned at the mentioning of the guy who was after his sister. He didn't see how him joining some singing club with the guy would help him protect Em in any way. "So, the prick is thinking of joining... Even more reason for me not to." He didn't really know Ethan all that well. He was friends with Em but he and Em didn't really have the same social circles. He couldn't imagine wanting to join something that would have him stuck with some guy who was obsessed with his twin.
