man of the year (maverick)

Benny loved shopping at Honeydukes, it was one of his favorite shops. The candy made him happy and there was always some kind of show going on with the candy. He liked it a lot and today he was going to see what kind of Chocolate Frogs he was going to be able to get. He had let out a smirk and walked in the shop, and walked over to the Chocolate Frog section.

He got some chocolate frogs, and ran into someone. 

"I am sorry I didn't see you."

Maverick didn’t often come to the candy shop, he wasn’t usually too big on sweets but he did like to have some around from time to time. Today he had decided to stop by, though. He had a couple of things in hand as he was getting ready to head to the checkout when someone bumped into him. He managed to keep his sweets from being dropped and quickly realized it wasn’t just anyone who had bumped into him but one of his brothers. ”Watch where you’re going.” he teased, not actually even all that annoyed by it but just trying to give his brother a rough way to go.

Benny had been very envious of Asher and Maverick who were more good looking compared to the rest of them. Benny was skinny and lanky, while his brothers were more strong. Although he knew that he had been more smarter than either of them. He let out a smirk at his brother.

“Well you know it’s hard with your jock brain in la la land.” he teased his brother.

He did very much love all of his family and would take a bullet for them. The men in the family weren’t as intelligent as they could be to say the least. Which was natural for men, but Benny was an exception.

"My jock brain? Is that what you're blaming your poor eyesight and inability to pay attention to now?" Mav never claimed to be the smartest Cartwright but he also wasn't the dumbest either. That was something he was sure of. "What if it had been some girl you had run into instead of me, hmmm?" He asked because obviously now that Benny had blamed it on his jock brain he had to make sure his little brother knew who was really to blame.

Ben hadn't been like the other Cartwright boys who were manly. He groaned at his brothers comment, and he sighed. "Girls are just people to me. I would have acted the same." he pointed out. He hadn't known what to think about it, and he had definitely hadn't had the same eyes for females his brothers did.

"I don't like girls like you guys do."

Boys were far more attractive to Ben than girls. He knew it be hard to admit with the Cartwrights. They were part of one of the most pureblooded families.

Maverick couldn't help but to roll his eyes when his little brother spoke. He didn't understand the other boy sometimes! Then again, they were very different people. It happened when there were so many siblings, though. They weren't all going to be alike. Mav did love his siblings. Even if he didn't always agree with them. "Well, yeah, they're people but you don't wanna go bowling them over." He said and then heard the rest of what his brother had to say.

That stopped him in his tracks. He wouldn't judge his brother but he wanted to be sure his brother was saying what he thought he was. "What do you mean?" Was his brother coming out to him right now? In a way, maybe Mav knew because he didn't talk about girls like the rest of them did... But it wasn't something he would conclude just from that. Benny had always just been maybe a little more reserved than the rest of them.
