Valentine's Weekend ((RF))

On the weekend of Valentine's Day (the 13th and 14th), Hogsmeade was hosting a Valentine's festival. Today (Saturday 13th) was the day of the parade: cupids swarmed the streets spreading cheer and spirit, and decorative floats were led by the local businesses. The streets were full of life and rammed full of witches and wizards from across the country, as well as the students of Hogwarts as this was their designated weekend visit. There were various stalls selling Valentines and Springtime merchandise: Honeydukes had a large one selling their chocolates, and The Three Broomsticks were ladelling out their special love-filled brews.

There were carnival rides, games and prizes to be won for 'you and your sweetheart'. As the crowds are thick and the demand is high, there's a lot that could go unnoticed. Still, you're just here to enjoy yourself - right?

"Haven't you tried a coconut shy before, you two?"

She handed some wooden blocks to Lazar that she'd bought to try.

"Aim for the coconut, and if you knock it off - you win it!"

She smiled at Cass.

Jerome was feeling a little miserable being here, especially as Ellie didn't seem to be around. He glanced at a kissing booth and stopped, actually considering it. Although that Riddle girl had teased him before, he didn't see the harm in getting a little kiss from her...

"I think he does," said Louis, beaming.

She still seemed very down in the dumps.

"Would you like to go on any of the rides with me, Marilyn?" he asked encouragingly.

"But... I did win it..." she was saying to Bellona Lestrange, when she told Layla that she'd been trying to get the purple heart cushion that she'd won only moments ago.

"It wouldn't even match your dormitory. Hufflepuff dorms are yellow - purple is the opposite of yellow. It would clash. But green and silver with purple would look a lot better."

He grabbed the cushion and tried to pull it out from Layla's grasp.

Lazar shook his head before glancing down at the blocks, the coconut, and Cass. He can do this. He can win her a prize.

He threw the wooden block towards the coconut. It didn't get very far and was nowhere near the coconut.

Madison nodded and watched as he pulled out his wand, "What are you-?" Then she realized. He was gonna summon the Niffler. She watched as it floated across the crowds and into her arms. She squeaked with excitement as she held the giant prize, "It's as big as I am!"

Alayna smiled when saw Ptolemy making his way to her but that smile soon disappeared as he grabbed her arm. She frowned at him, "Ptolemy, he hasn't done anything wrong." She looked around and saw some people looking at them, "People are staring."

Cassie had never played this sort of game before, but it seemed easy enough. She watched as Lazar gave it a go and gave him a smile at his attempt, "Maybe I should try." She picked up a block and tossed it in her hand a moment before throwing it towards the coconuts

The idea of a Valentines festival didn’t really seem like her type of scene… but it seemed that nearly everyone else was going and she couldn’t be the only one left at the castle while everyone else found some sort of fun out on the town. So, she dressed in a cute outfit and then made her way down to the village, glancing around at the booths she passed as she looked around for any friendly faces.

"I guess Reggie is his name!"

She'd just have to make sure to not flaunt him in the dorm as her dormmates, mainly Andy, would probably make fun of her for it.

Go on rides? With Louis Weasley?! "Yes, um, sure!"

Things had slowed down at the castle for the time being with the fact that it seemed that much of the student body had decided to jump at the chance to take part in the exchange program. That meant that Calista was actually able to get some time away from the hospital wing to actually enjoy the festivities! She was surprisingly excited to be able to have some time outside of the castle. Her social life had gone downhill since she had taken the position here. She hadn’t known how busy it would be! Not that she was complaining but she was definitely looking forward to the break as she walked through the throngs of people. They even had a kissing booth! Not that that would be something she was interested in but it just a happened to be something she noticed.

Carina was exploring the booths when she saw a flash of blonde hair. She smirked and purchased a chocolate rose before approaching one of her best friends, "Astrid Eriksson, looking as beautiful as ever. Be my Valentine?" She said with a cheesy smile as she held out the rose before breaking into a fit of giggles.

She didn't know where Gabby went, but she was sure she was around somewhere with Ethan. Aquila walked towards one of the flower carts and began to take photos of some of the bouquets. She couldn't wait to see how the pictures looked!

Lien didn't react much to Rowle or his weak threats, he just turned to Macmillan.

"Want to get some drinks?" he asked him, now turning and walking away.

With the amount of people around, it'd be difficult for someone to keep eyes on her at all time. Discordia picked a quill off from the ground and began to sharpen it with her teeth.

Of course she was defending him, as usual. He gave her a heavy stare, then looked around at others that were watching in contempt. When Chang turned away, Ptolemy took out his wand.

He handed the glass he already had in hand over to him. "Want to try this one, bro?"

It was a rather girly drink.

Alayna found herself frowning a bit as Lien walked away. But then she saw Ptolemy draw his wand and she quickly reached out and gripped his wrist, "Don't even think about it." She gave him a look that said 'Do it and watch what happens'.

The summoning of the prize didn't go unnoticed. Now the man running the game was grabbing onto the scruff of Wade's neck.

"Oi! You can't do that!" Then man turned to Madison in fury, looking as though he was going to tell her off as well, before a dreamy look came over his face. He dropped Wade and he fell onto the ground, cursing. "I mean... but you can have it..." he said, smiling at her.

"Prick."

Other men and boys were turning to look at Madison, and immediately started swarming around her, blurting stupid anecdotes and asking her risqué questions. Wade, with his sight of her now covered, brushed himself off from the ground and wondered why he was there. Shrugging, he put his hands in his pockets and trudged off somewhere else.

Although it wasn't his department or job at all, Harrison received a notification about the detection of underaged magic use. He ignored it as due to the amount of people going through Hogsmeade, it could very easily be a false positive.

"How about that one over there?" he asked her, pointing to an archery-type one where you had to hit the love hearts to win prizes.

"That'd be fun!"

Her eyes were glued to the small hints of a ferris wheel.

Madison frowned as the guy came over and started to manhandle Wade, "Hey. Put him down!" She shouted at the moon who then looked at her. When he dropped Wade, she clutched her Niffler tighter, "Thank you. Now go away and leave us alone." But before she could turn back to Wade, she was surrounded by other guys. She frowned a bit and tried to make her way out of the sea of boys, "No thank you. I'm not interested!" She shouted at them before emerging from the pile, Niffler still in arms, "Morons." She looked around, a bit bummed that Wade was gone.

Sophia stood at one of the games trying to win a cute little stuffed dragon that had caught her eye. But she was horrible with sports and the game was to knock over a bunch of bottles by throwing a ball at them. And she was horrid at it.
