Ever since the encounter with Alayna in the Owlery, it was arduous for James to put on his usual act of being a very energetic, always high social butterfly of sorts. He had to constantly confront the fact that he was, in fact, 100% gay and that he was unlucky enough to end up being attracted to Lien Chang as his first real crush in all of his years at Hogwarts.
