A draught for You (Potions Lessons)

Snape set up the potions classroom for the upcoming year, he was disgusted how the last professor left it. He shook his head and sighed when he went through the inventory of the ingredients, he would have to get inventive it seemed as everything seemed to be rather low, he wished he knew that before hand as he would have put an order in for the ingredients that he needed. He made a note of what he needed right away and what could wait before placing this years curriculum on the desks.

Amortentia
Drought of the Living Dead
Hiccoughing Potion
Pepperup Potion

Dewey was sitting in the back of the classroom reading the list, and still trying to figure out how he felt about Professor Snape being his Potions Professor. Sitting as he paid attention to the Professor and listened as he asked the class what ingredients and also what the potion did to a person. And it was safe to say he didn’t know so he sat back.

Jenna didn’t understand why she had taken Potions, even if she was fair at the class. It wasn’t one of her best classes and she much more preferred to take Divinations. Although it was fascinating that the former Potion master had returned to Hogwarts. Entering the class she snuck into the back taking a seat only to see Dagger and roll her eyes. As long as Blake didn’t show up, and she got her things out and began to look at the course and listened as Snape asked about the Potion and what ingredients. She sighed as everyone gave answered and hoped for her chance.

Snape nodded at each answer, it seemed that they had studied their texts, which was what he had expected of them. "Very good ten points for each of your houses," he said as he wrote down twenty points for Ravenclaw and ten point for Slytherin on his parchment. "If you haven't already partner up and begin brewing the potion, hopefully it will not blow up in your face," he said and waited to see who would be successful in the brewing of it.

Alayna was extremely glad she had gotten Serena for her potions partner. The girl was a prodigy. She turned to Serena as the blonde began explaining what she wanted Alayna to do. She began to chop the Alihotsy leaves while alayna brought the cauldron to a boil. She then added the leaves and watched as Serena stirred the cauldron 4 times counter clockwise.

Ezra had been sitting in class listening to the new Professor, and he let out a smirk. It was definitely going to make the new year fun for him. Hogwarts was only getting more and more interesting for him, and he was curious to how the year would end up going. Watching those answering questioning, and when he was asked to partner up, he had asked the closest partner. "Care to be my partner?" he asked.

Elaisa was listening what was said and made some notes just in the case even. After it was said to partner up then she looked around the classroom to find someone she knew but they all seemed to have partner. She suddenly heard words not far from her if she wants to be partners. She looked at the boy had asked it. "If you're talking with me then sure let's be partners. Don't have one anyways," she said with a small smile.

Dagger honestly didn't care who his partner was. He flipped to the right page in his book as he adjusted the seat next to him to be free, whoever wanted to be his partner would just come up to him, he refused to go looking.

Peyton took the seat next to Dagger and opened her book to the page with the brewing instructions for the potion. She didn't really say anything. Instead, she just began chopping leaves for the potion.

Cairo yawned, as he listened to the instructions he knew what to do the thing was was he going to pull it off. Nope he did not want to draw attention to himself, he had already discussed with Macmillan that he wanted to blow up the potion, the other knew that he was very skilled at potions but did not want to show it.

Macmillan bit his lips hearing the instructions as he just stared at the other's hands. Okay, he needed to pay attention even though he knew the end result.

Nemmy had been curious about the return of Professor Snape, because she didn't know what would come and she didn't get how someone could come back from the dead. It just didn't make much sense for the witch, and being in his class was even more weirder. The guy was ancient and a legend, so it was definitely interesting, and she had sat back.

And when Professor Snape had introduced the topic, she rolled her eyes. Watching everyone give their response, and soon having to get partners. She turned to the closest person, and gave a fake smile. "Would you like to be partners?" she asked, not really wanting to be.
