Another year, another opportunity. This time, Rosemary decided she was going to have a picket sign in her compartment that said "Free the house elves!" Why not stir a little controversy and get her classmates thinking as they headed to Hogwarts?

Ingrid walked through the train, glancing into the open doors looking for a place to sit. She had yet to change into her uniform and was dressed in colorful shorts and socks beneath a floaty blouse. The large picket sign in the compartment caught her eye and she poked her head in, blocking the doorway.

"Hey Rosemary, it's good to see you again!"

Pandora walked down the hall towards her friends compartment. She stopped to check her reflection in one of the glass doorways. She smoothed out her emerald green blouse and pulled the waist on her black skinny jeans up a bit and fixed the collar on her leather jacket. Her high heeled boots made her long legs look even longer and she fluffed up her hair a bit. As she walked past a compartment a sign caught her attention "free the house elves?" She read in disbelief as she shoved the one girl out of the way and leaned against the compartment door "now would we want to do that?"

"Nice to see you too, Ingrid!" she greeted blissfully only to be rudely interrupted by a Carrow. Rosemary looked over at the Slytherin not remotely amused. "And what makes you think I'll listen to you?"

"no one said you had to listen to me. But I can guarantee no one will listen to you. We love having house elves. Makes our lives easier. Plus they like to work. Why would you wanna take away something that makes them happy? " Pandora sneered at rosemary before turning back to the sign "I mean honestly. It's stupid to think you can change anything"

Ingrid flailed slightly as she was rudely shoved out of the doorway, "hello? I was standing here?" She elbowed past Pandora and into the compartment, spreading her arms on the back of the seat, taking up as much space as possible.
"Typical lazy slytherin, refusing to do anything for yourself. Does it make you feel better about yourself to mock people who are actually trying to change things?"

Pandora scoffed when the Hufflepuff girl shoved past her "am I supposed to care? Cuz I don't" she then rolled her eyes and laughed at the girls statement "I don't have to do anything to feel better about myself. I'm already fucking amazing." She moved her hair behind her ear then looked back to rosemary "honestly I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. No one is going to listen to you"

Rosemary was getting tempted to pull out her wand and hex Pandora, but that wouldn't make her the bigger person. "You need to sit the fuck down and check your privilege!"

The part she was most pissed about besides being dismissed was that her friend was being treated so rudely.

"Maybe it'd be better if she did that somewhere else, looking at her face is starting to tick me off." Ingrid deliberately avoided looking at Pandora, but her fists clenched against the seat backs and caused her hidden muscles to be revealed. It would be hard to explain to her mom why she'd busted someone's nose before the first class.

Pandora couldn't help but laugh at the girls "you guys are adorable really. And check my privilege? I happen to quite like my privilege thanks." She flipped her hair over her shoulder and grabbed her wand from her jacket pocket " but before I go." She said before she waved her wand and made the sign change to read 'Don't free the house elves'. She then turned and left the compartment to search for her friends

"What a See You Next Tuesday! Ughhh." Rosemary unhappily used her wand to change the sign back to what it said and made sure it couldn't be tampered with. "I'm bloody tired of those purebloods ruling the country..."

Parker had been looking forward to returning to Hogwarts, and getting back on the Quidditch pitch. He spent his whole summer getting ready and also trying to get the best tutors that he could for his upcoming OWLS that were set to take place this coming year. When he got unto the train, the Ravenclaw had been sitting with some of his friends, and had been interrupted by hearing some commotion going on outside his compartment door, and he looked at his friends, and said. "I'll check that." he said hoping that it wasn't anything major, looking out. He was soon met with shock when he saw some protesting, and someone walk by him. He raised an eyebrow, hoping nothing major happened.

But when he got closer he saw that it was Rosemary Dursley and Ingrid Longbottom who appeared to be holding a sign, and he got closer. "Is everything alright for you lovely ladies?" he said in a friendly tone. Hoping everything was alright, because he respected both of those girls. "Because I heard some commotion going on from my compartment." he said with a sigh.

Ingrid glared at Pandora's back as she walked away, "good riddance to bad trash, I oughtta make all her hair fall out, see how smug she is then." Despite her words, Ingrid made no move to do so, instead pulling her wand out of her bag and leaning forward. She traced the tip of her wand over the defaced sign, slowly rearranging the letters until they were back to normal.

She looked up when she heard someone enter the compartment, smiling when she saw it was only Parker, she didn't know him well, but he was a nice guy the few times they'd interacted, though she'd never cut him any slack on the quidditch pitch. "Sorry Parker, you just missed the 'excitement' of Pandora's one-woman show."

"This is awful of me, but we can head down to a Muggle store and buy some Nair. Then we can have some fun!" Would've been some good karma, but it'd better off letting it bite back at that pureblooded scum on its own.

Rosemary waved at Parker once noticing his presence. "It was so pathetic that I wouldn't even spare her 100 pence..."

Parker eyed the two girls as they spoke about how he just missed the Pandora one-woman show and he let out a chuckle. “Of course I did. I bet it was interesting with those stupid purist beliefs. It’s a real shame that we’re still stuck in the dark ages. You’d think after two wars, we’d learn.” the Ravenclaw had said with a shake of his head.

When Rosemary spoke that it was too pathetic to even pence, the Ravenclaw looked and he said. “As pathetic as it may be. It still isn’t right and if you want help I’ll gladly help you protest.” he said giving her a smile on his face, and he decided that he’d ask. “Well aside from all that happened, how did your guys summer go for you?” he asked with a smile.

Ingrid finished fixing the sign and hopped back into her seat, spreading her arms out over the back again, a more casual version of her earlier pose, showing relaxation rather than taking up space to make Pandora feel unwelcome. "My summer was good, actually, I'm sad that it's ending. Spent a lot of time with the whole Potter/Weasley/Dursley gang." She grinned across the compartment at Rosemary.

"Oh yeah, and I spent a week at a quidditch camp intensive, so you'd better watch out for flying bludgers Parker." Ingrid had been the hufflepuff quidditch team's head beater almost from the time she'd joined the team.

"Mine was pretty nice. I hung out with my friends and family a lot. I participated in a few Muggle and wizarding rallies." Rosemary smirked over at Ingrid and put her attention back on Parker. "Can you imagine what the games are going to be like this year against Slytherin? Al's really good, and it surprises me."

She cleared her throat after finally processing Ingrid's comment chuckling at it.

"Didn't Jamesy play quidditch some time ago? I still don't know why he quit."

Leo pulled at the strawberry rope with his teeth, clipped a bit off, and chewed on it as he trudged through the train's corridor. Seeing the sign outside the compartment, he slung himself in and immediately announced his entry:

"Where's the free house elves, then?" He asked, looking about the floor.

He'd read the sign wrong. But, now looking up again, he spotted Cavendish and grinned through his mouthful. "Cavendish wants to fuck a house elf." He strode further into the room, shoving the boy out of his way. He pointed his strawberry rope at Ingrid. "Is he trying to get in your pants?"

Ingrid rolled her eyes at Leo's childish little joke. She sent a look at Rosemary that said, 'can you believe this guy?'

"Parker's not trying to get in anyone's pants right now, he's actually trying to make conversation." She didn't bother to add on that Parker wasn't exactly her type. "Hey where'd you get that candy anyway? I haven't seen the candy trolley come by yet, and I'm starting to get hungry."

"Did somebody say 'candy?'" the candy lady asked as she pulled her trolley into the compartment. "Still plenty to choose from!"

Abeline walked by and saw the candy lady. She stopped to purchase a few licorice wands when she heard a commotion from inside the compartment "do you guys have mute buttons? You're being entirely too loud." She then looked around "oh looks like a gathering of the houses" she saw the sign and smirked " cool sign"

"It'd be easier to keep it quiet if people would stop barging in here and starting fights." Ingrid pointed out. She got to her feet and bought a bag of chocolate buttons, happily popping a few in her mouth. "Who would have thought one sign could cause so much controversy, Rosemary. Guess that proves the sign works."

Parker listened as both girls tried to make conversation with him, and he nodded. “That’s cool I spent my summer doing Quidditch camps and the Potter/Weasley/Dursley family is always the best one.”  he said with a chuckle and then giving Ingrid a smirk, “I better watch out for bludgers, because after all I am the Ravenclaw seeker.” he said giving them a friendly chuckle. And he looked with a smile, ” It does suck that it’s ending. Hey it means we get to deal with my sister’s charms class.” he said with a sigh, knowing not many people were fond of his sister.

Turning his attention to Rosemary he gave a smile, “Go you for those rallies. I hope you showed this world that it needed change. It’s sad we’re still somewhat in the dark ages.” he said with a simple sigh on his face, but he was thankful he came from parents who were progressive. Giving them a look, Parker knew that Albus Potter would prove to be a competition for Parker, but he wasn’t one to be the type to boast, “Hey I like anyone who gives me a challenge. But I will make sure Ravenclaw will pull through when it comes down to it. Bring us the house cup.” he said with a tiny smile. And when she spoke about James Potter playing Quidditch, “Didn’t he quit because of an injury or something. It’s good though his brother is carrying on the name.” he smiled.

All though he was soon pissed off by who came next, because it was his sister’s friend who he knew had been someone who hooked up with her. Being pushed to the side Parker groaned and tried to brush off his assault. “Screw you Belvedere. You know just because you fuck around with my older sister doesn’t mean you can push me around “ he said annoyed and frustrated. Why did he have to be into his older sister. And shooting him a glare, “I’m not getting in anyone’s pants, I’m actually helping my friends. Can’t you go find my sister and leave us alone?” he asked feeling embarrassed and hoped his sister wasn’t around anywhere.

Once the trolley came by, Parker gave a smile and said. “Could I have four chocolate frogs, two packs of every flavor beans, and some licorice wands.” he said, before looking at his friends, “If you guys want I’ll buy you something.” he said ignoring Leo’s presences. The group was then confronted by someone else and he rolled his eyes. “You can thank Belvedere for that. Because we were peacefully protesting, and I apologize for bothering you.” he said with a smile. And he rolled his eyes it better not be a gathering of the houses, because he didn’t want him here.

"let me guess. It was Pandora. She was mumbling something about a stupid ravenclaw and her dumb sign. Don't let her get to you. I'm abeline Steele by the way" she said with a smile " mind if I sit?" She asked as she looked around at the members of the compartment

Sadie had not been enjoying going back to school, despite it being her last year. Because she didn’t want to sit in her sister’s class, and any other class that wasn’t Potions. But she also didn’t feel like dealing with the Hogwarts Express and hoped she get an compartment that was to herself having been looking for a compartment. But she heard commotion as she went through the train corridors, and was soon met with a group of people.

Rolling her eyes, “You can’t be serious.” and when she got closer and saw who were the people she walked closer and said. “Getting through please. What the fuck is going on, because people are trying to get through. You do know this isn’t a place for a protest right,” she shouted when she got closer and turning to see her brother and Leo. “What a shock that the golden Cavendish is here, of course you have to be a little social justice warrior.” she said with a tiny glare. Before turning to Leo, “I hope you taught tried to teach these idiots a lesson. “giving him a glare, Before going to stand by him.

She soon turned a realized Abeline Steele was here, and said. “Oh hey Abeline.” even if she wanted to leave and take Leo with her.
