Drinks and people watching (OPEN)

Snape had decided to actually leave his room, which had become a rare occurrence in the last months. He had busied himself with preparations to move back to Hogwarts and to be the Headmaster in the school which he had not stepped foot in for twenty two years. He even asked for his interview to be done elsewhere as he was not ready to reenter the halls. With the months until he his return now done until one, he was in need of some liquid courage to keep him from backing out.

Ordering himself a fire whiskey he went and found a seat near a window and let the liquid scorch it's way down his throat as he looked out the window. People watching, had become a habit of his as of late and tonight was not an exception.

On his break, Harrison decided he was going to head down to The Leaky Cauldron for a bit to get away from the Ministry's cafeteria. Noticing a familiar figure by a window, he decided to join him.

"Nice seeing you out of your room for once."

Snape looked up when he heard Harrison, his friend the person who had encouraged him to apply for head master in the first place. "Well seeing that I finally almost have everything completed for the upcoming school year I thought I would have a drink. Grab a seat and join me," he said with a hint of a smile, he felt like he was finally getting back to his old self.

He subconsciously played with the ring on his finger a gift from the vampire who turned him when he found out about Snape. He told him that it would allow him to continue to go out in the daylight, which Snape was glad about. He was still nervous about the start of the school year but he was slowly getting excited about going back to Hogwarts as well.

Harrison took the seat across from Snape. "I needed to get away from the Ministry's cafeteria. Gets too boring there."

"My kids attend Hogwarts. Have any questions I can answer to lessen the culture shock?"

Snape nodded, that made sense he would go bat crazy if he was stuck at the ministry day in and day out. Being stuck at Hogwarts was enough for him, however he could at least bare it as there was places that he could hide when he did not want to deal with the children. He honestly was curious as to what had changed since his time there. "What has changed?" He asked the other hoping that there wasn't too many changes.

He had got an application for an apprentice and was planning on meeting the applicant later that day. Snape was just not sure if he really needed one, however if they impressed him enough he would give them a job. [B]"I got an application from a student to be my apprentice a couple days ago, I did not know that Hogwarts had started an apprenticeship program with its staff," he told the other, as he pondered who could be wanting to apprentice in potions.

"Well, all the students know of the Room of Requirement, and apparently it's used for inappropriate relations," he began sighing. Hogwarts had its wild moments in the 70s/80s, but it felt as if it increased tenfold since he attended.

Harrison listened to the other talking about the apprentice program. "It's recent. Very recent. My son says it's probably due to all the vacancies at the school..."

'So the students know of the room of requirement? I will have to make sure a staff or prefect is always close to the entrance to make sure they only use it for educational purposes., Snape thought to himself this was very interesting information. Then came news that he didn't want it seemed Hogwarts was having a staffing crisis and that was not good news, it meant that he would have to work on regaining staff.

"Are people still scared to work at Hogwarts twenty two years later?" He asked his friend trying to figure out why there was so many open positions.

He shrugged. "I have no idea... I just hope it gets resolved soon. I want my kids to have a better education than I did."

Harrison truly believed Snape could turn things in Hogwarts around for the better if he's actually given the chance to.

Snape nodded, he would have to figure out why there was so little staff. That would just not do the students deserved a top notch education. "I will see what I can do to get staff before the term starts, there has to be some willingly to work there, even if I have to grab from outside of the United Kingdom," he said pondering how he could rectify that situation.
