this is halloween ((faolan))

Emery had gotten the opportunity to spend her weekend with Connor while her grandmother had decided to come up and stay with her friends at one of her rental cottages on the outskirts of Hogsmeade in one of the hamlets. This meant Emery got to spend all the time in the world with Connor and didn't plan on returning to Hogwarts until classes resumed on Monday so she could spend as much time as she could with her son.

She had asked Faolan to come along since she felt terrible for not meeting with him. She still had a lot of feelings for him, and he was probably the closest person Connor could get for a father. Since Jovian had still choose to stay out of Connor life, and Emery didn't really care as much as she really should. She didn't need him, so she had waited outside of Zonkos for him to come and hoped Faolan was willing to come and spend time with her and Connor.

Faolan had stuck with Emery through everything, through finding out she was pregnant to her leaving for America, he had never wavered. Sure, it had been difficult when he had followed her to America and found her dating her ex but it hadn’t lasted for long which Faolan was secretly happy for. The two were all wrong for each other and that wasn’t just because he thought that Emery should be with him instead. He was just looking out for her. And Ryker was toxic for her as far as he could tell.

But since they had both gotten back home things had been better. He spent a lot of time with her when he could and was looking forward to spend the weekend with her and Connor. He knew that the little boy wasn’t his but he had told Emery that he would help with him any way he could. She was his best friend, even if he hadn’t gotten the nerve to ask her to be more again, and that meant he would continue to be there for her and her son.

When he spotted her outside of Zonko’a he lifted his hand in a wave of greeting as he approached her. ”hey. You sure you don’t mind me hanging out with you and Connor this weekend? I know you haven’t gotten as much time with him as you’d like since school started.” he hoped she wouldn’t change her mind but he didn’t want her to feel obligated or anything if she had changed her mind and wanted time alone with her son.
