Halloween Haunted House Festivities ((Main Thread))

While Ivan was hosting the much more formal masquerade ball, Desdemona put herself in charge of the much more casual haunted house. Her image, after all, was one of trying to help the underprivileged and bring communities together. What better way than free candy and spooky fun?

Donned in a stereotypical witch costume, Desdemona was in front of the haunted house maze with pumpkins full of candy surrounding her.

"Hello, little ones!" she greeted to the children walking by with a big, toothy smile on her face.

This was going quite splendidly.

"Remember, hands off the actors. They won't touch you."

For children too young or unable to handle the haunted house maze, to the side of it was a colorful cottage reminiscent of the one from Hansel and Gretel. Later on, Desdemona would be stuck reading to them a sickeningly sweet picture book about a black cat.

"Free candy!"

Free candy?! Hugo definitely wasn't going to be missing this!

He didn't exactly have a costume, so he came up with something real quick with clothes he found in one of his cousin's trunks.

"Do you have color changing gumballs?" asked Hugo to the tall, blonde woman.
