Health Class ((Years 5-7))

The Great Hall was arranged differently than usual for health class: the tables remained, except two were put away to leave plenty of empty floor space. Pulled in front of the high and staff tables was a large, extending portable chalkboard that already has his name written and illustrations of birds and bees drawn. Frederick was keeping his makeshift classroom practical and straight to the point; the kids were at Hogwarts to LEARN, not be swept up in the aesthetics of a room or anything flashy that'd distract from the valuable lessons he was about to teach.

As the fifth to seventh years filed into the Great Hall, Frederick waited for all of them to stay standing before instructing, "Okay, class, I am Professor Renshaw, and you WILL be learning the pleasures of life and what NOT to do. If you're a boy, sit at the left table. If you're a girl, sit at the right table. If you're something else, sit where you're comfortable or in the middle aisle. If you do that to fondle your partner, you WILL be separated through force and with a barrier until end of class. NOBODY in this class will have babies. If you already have a baby, my class will teach you how to NOT have another one."

He pursed his lips as he scanned all of the students.

"That being said, whether you abstain or choose to do the deed, my teachings will help you make smarter decisions. Once everyone's seated, the lesson will start."

Serena didn't really want to take this health class, but it was a requirement. She had already learned most of this stuff in books.

Wade flinched as the teacher whacked him, but couldn't hold in his laugh. He nudged Tiernan and they were sniggering together.

"I got another question," he said, but quietly this time, only to the lads around him. "Is it considered sexual harassment if I spread her cheeks, if I'm just helpin' her look for crabs?"

Maverick thought the idea of having a birds and bees lecture this late in the game was a little stupid. They all knew how babies were made by this point, didn’t they? If you didn’t by the time you were in fifth year then he thought you were seriously behind the times. Heck, he was pretty sure that first years knew how babies were made. So, he just sat there in his chair, chuckling at Wade’s question and waiting for this to be over with.

He joined in the lad talk.

"I popped it off on her tits, but it was only because I was worried about the colouration. Needed a another pair of eyes to observe."

Emery didn't like this class since already failed with the Birds and Bees concept. She looked at Maverick, and let out a sigh. "I kinda fucked up this part of life wouldn't you say?" asked Emery leaning back. It's not like she regretted Connor, but this was a class she should have had in her fourth year.

"Professor Renshaw, I kind of failed at this aspect." she sighed.

This was such a waste of her time. She could be poring over some long forgotten potions book or fiddling with the formula for her beauty potions but instead she was stuck here sitting beside Bellona, Jeneva, and some new girl who she assumed was Hector Burke’s betrothed since she vaguely recognized her from the train where she had to fetch Comarth. ”What has made it so lovely? Being assaulted with questions on the train or this amazing little slice of hell we’re about to endure?” sure, maybe she had had good times since coming here that Dahlia didn’t know about but they hadn’t been back to school for that long… and leave it to Dahlia to be a spoilsport.

Emery rolled her eyes at Wade. "Can we go a year and not have drama with each other."

"It is okay, Bel. Class will be over before we know it. Do you enjoy your other classes?"

Sakura's lips remained upturned as she allowed Bel to squeeze her hand; she always liked being of help to others when they need it.

She turned to one of Bel's friends and replied, "The castle is beautiful, and I am learning a lot about Hector and his homeland. I am Sakura, it is nice to meet you." She bowed her head to Dahlia.

Gemma sat in the back row looking at her nails, hearing Professor Renshaw go on and on. She was positive half this school had been pregnant at one point and gotten it taken care off. She looked up, and just rolled her eyes.

"This class is so fucking stupid."

"Extending my arm is perfectly practical, why couldn't I have thought of that?" Thius rolled his eyes as Professor Renshaw strolled near them. Then he began cracking up at his comment towards Comarth.

Merlin, they make this far too easy to enjoy watching.

Hoping the professor wouldn't hear, Thius lowered his voice, "Do you think they look and taste and smell wonderful down there? It's all I keep bloody thinking about!"

If that mudblood and his sympathizers could be awfully profane without hesitation, he could engage in a slice of tasteful man-to-man talk.

"I know my lady does... I've only used my imagination, but I know. What do you think my love letter was about?"

It was killing him to be in the same room as Bellona being unable to just hold her hand or rest his head on hers.

Planting his cheek in his hand and mulling over the ridiculous impracticality of extendable arms, he hadn't realised that the teacher's voice sounded from above. He rotated his eyes up, and over, as he was referred to as Comarth of the Selwyns. Then he said... that.

"... What," he grunted, darkly.

Bloody Leythan.

But now he'd definitely just spoke like that to a teacher. He remembered Dahlia's warning on the start of term feast: apparently it wasn't just his brother and his aunt that he needed to act for now. Comarth could feel his expression souring, and he was trying to control it. "Yes, sir. Definitely. No doubt about it." It came out rather strained, but there it was.

Lazar had already passed out from where he was seated. The embarrassment of everything to do with the subject, in a class full of meanies, frightened him.

"Oh well, at least there's that, aye? It will never be 'sexy Tuesday' again though..." she sulked.

When Cassie sat down near them, she smiled brightly at her.

"Well... He has to be here, or he'll be in a lot of trouble..."

Her eyes scanned the boys' side, until they arrived to Maverick Cartwright. Her gaze softened - becoming dream-like as she observed him wistfully.

"No - it's definitely 'sexy Tuesdays' after all..."

"Ha! That's what I thought! That is why I separated the class by gender. Nobody's going to have babies under my supervision!"

Chuckling, Frederick moved away from him and paced up and down the aisle before finally returning to the chalkboard, seeing that the class appeared to be full.

He stuck his fingers in his mouth and emitted a loud whistle, signalling to students that they should pipe down their conversations.

"Welcome to health class! Before I talk to you about some basic concepts, raise your hand if you've ever received any kind of comprehensive education related to your sexual health. If you received it, you'll know what I mean by comprehensive."

Bam. This was easy.

Albus knew this class would be important since last year there were too many pregnancies in place. He knew this school had no structure so hopefully this class will make things better. He had sat with the boys and listened to Professor Renshaw talk and nodded at all his words. He knew they were important was curious to see if any of the Hogwarts students could actually keep it to themselves this year.

Evelyn was glad this class was being offered this year since last year she had been pregnant. This would perhaps prevent another kid from having a baby. She knew that you can't stop what you can't change. She had known hormones were something that were often raging. She knew this generation of kids were especially terrible. She had been paying attention and gave Marilyn a smile. "Let's hope this class is useful." she chuckled.

Jerome raised his hand, then tapped at the side of Wade's seat when he didn't do the same.

"You went to junior school, so put your hand up," he muttered from the corner of his mouth.

Thea hated classes this year since she'd be in a room of people who she couldn't stand. She was better than half of this kids, and she knew half of them thought of her as a psychopath. A title she knew was wrong, but she did threaten some people last year, but she thought she could be a good student.

"Do you really think you can calm teenager's hormones?" she asked.

He hadn't heard the question, but if he had, he still wouldn't have known what the bloke meant.

Wade just raised his hand anyway. "Yeah, I went to Muggle school."

Layla didn't want to raise her hand, so she sort of poked her fingers up at elbow height shyly.

Thius didn't raise his hand, horrified that this was one area his knowledge lacked beyond what his imagination conjured and the concept of protection.

Still passed out, head on desk, he didn't raise his hand.

Emery looked at Layla who was poking her elbows. "Why didn't you raise your hand?" she asked in a soft tone.
