sit still, look pretty (open)

The thought of boarding the train to go to school was all so new to her. They didn't ride a train to get to Beauxbatons but she had often heard of the Hogwarts Express from her parents. She would be experiencing it for herself this year. The only thing she was dreading was that she wasn't sure who she would sit with on the train. She had never before had trouble finding friends to sit with but this was all new to her. She had had her luggage charmed to be feather light before coming so she had no problem wheeling it onto the train on her own. Glancing into the compartments she passed, she hoped to find one with either some familiar faces or even an empty one. Luckily, she did just that, finding an empty compartment and going inside of it, leaving the door behind her open in hope that maybe someone she knew would happen along.

Cernunnos was running down the corridor hoping to find one of the non-Slytherin prefects as quickly as possible. Sweat was running down his irritated, boil-infested face as he needed to stop to regain his breath before finally reporting what went on. His crystal was buried deep into one of his weekender bags, so he had no access to it at the moment.

Entering an open compartment, he quickly asked, "OMG, do you know where I can find a prefect ASAP?!"

Josie gasped as the door to her compartment was flung open and the boy stuck his head in. There was something wrong with him! There were boils all over his skin and she retreated further away from the door. "I'm not sure I know what a prefect is or where to find one." She said in a relatively strong French accent as she made sure to keep as far away from him as she possibly could. What if he was contagious? She couldn't have her face ruined like his!

"OMG, are you an exchange student? I don't think I saw you at Ilvermorny~! I went for a few weeks last year, and I was put into Horned Serpent. It was soooo cool to make friends that actually knew who Kylie Minogue is!"

Cernunnos needed to have a little sanity-saving chitchat before he resumed his hunt for prefect assistance.

"I transferred from Beauxbatons." She said, not wanting to give him any more information since she was still borderline terrified one of his boils would spew nastiness on her and cause her face to be just as disgusting. And she couldn't have that! "Your face, ummm, do they have nurses on this train? You may want to see one." Of course, she had no idea this was the product of a potion that had been thrown on him.

"Oooooh, fancy~! Do you know who Mylene Farmer is? She's one of France's best pop girls!"

Cernunnos glanced out the window which gave the view of the platform's brick wall. Boring! When was the train going to leave? At least seeing the landscape would make being phoneless more bearable.

"Selwyn splashed it on me, I'm trying to find a prefect!"

"No, sorry." Was the woman a mundane 'pop girl' as he called her? She didn't know but the name wasn't familiar to her. Then again, it wasn't like she often mingled with the mundane. She gasped a bit when he mentioned Selwyn splashing something on him. How horrible! Though, she found herself wanting to defend someone she had somewhat grown up with, she kept it to herself. At least she knew whatever was going on wasn't contagious. "Is a prefect a healer?" She asked, tilting her head slightly since she still had no idea, they didn't have prefects at Beauxbatons.

"You don't know Mylene Farmer?!" Cernunnos questioned with a loud gasp. That seemed impossible to him! What French person didn't know Mylene Farmer?

As it became clear that she wasn't of much help besides a chance to catch his breath, Cernunnos got up from the seat. "I'm going to find a prefect, see you soon, girl~!" With that, he ran out and down the corridor.
