Pretty bird (Open)

Scarlett entered the Owlry and smiled at all the birds. She walked over to her own Eagle Owl, Skye, and attatched a letter to her mum on her leg and then sent her off into the sky. She smiled as she flew off and as she was about to leave, someone entered and she gave them a kind smile, "Hi there. I was just about to leave so ill be out of your way."

"Oh, it's fine. I was just sending a letter home"

The blonde would smile at the woman as he passed, heading over to where his owl was. "Besides, I couldn't just tell a beautiful woman to get lost, after all" He teased, with a playful smirk as he would look for Ozzy.

Scarlett smiled a bit at his words. She knew she was beautiful. It was her job after all. But she still loved eharing people say it to her. "Why thank you. Youre quite the charmer arent you? And a handsome one at that." She said giggling a bit "Im Scarlett."

"Why thank you" The blonde would tease back, shooting her a playful little grin. "And what exactly brings a beaut like yourself up here, aye? Sending a letter to some sweetheart, I assume?" Was the next little tease.

Of course, Josh knew how he looked. But he didn't try to let it get to his head. Sure did wonders of his confidence though.

"The only sweetheart I sent a letter to was my mother to inform her I got booked for a modeling gig in London this weekend. Im a model, me and my little sister both." She said as if it were not a big deal. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and smiled, "You writing to one of your many little girlfriends?"

A chuckle escaped him in response. "And here I thought a looker like you would have at least one sweetheart out there" The blonde would immediately tease, shooting her a playful little wink.

"Me? Girlfriend? Nah, not in a good while. Student relationships don't seem to work out here. A bit too much testosterone, I think" Josh would crack, with a casual shrug of his shoulders. "I try to stick to what's going to benefit me in the long run, so I can actually have something to give someone later."

She smiled a bit at his words, they were sweet, "Thats rather... humble of you. To hold out on dating until you find the right girl." She said softly as her hair fell back in front of her face once more. She sighed and mvoed it again "Bloody bangs need to be cut again." She said and giggled softly, "So youre a Gryffindor right?" She had seen him around the common room a few times so he obviously had to be in her house

"Not 100% holding out. Just not really looking" The blonde would admit, shrugging in turn. "I'm focusing on what's important, you know? I mean, sure, screwing around is fun and all... But it shouldn't be the primary focus when I want to be an Auror."

He chuckled at the remark about her bangs. "I cut mine awhile back" Josh would admit. "Were getting rather annoying. But aye, I am a Gryffindor, if the uniform doesn't give it away" He spoke, as he gave her the once over. "I assume you're the same?"

Scarlett smirked a bit as he mentioned hooking up. Scarlett was not one to just randomly shag someone she just met she was wasn't a prude either. She had slept with a few house mates and a few from other houses. But not too many "an auror?" She asked her interest peaking "tell me more" she said as she found a clean corner for them to sit down in "and you would assume correctly?"

He wasn't afraid of a casual fling, maybe even a one nighter. But he didn't tend to do them often. He was a man that preferred a long term relationship, but "long term relationship" wasn't something that a lot of students here understood. Which was one of the primary reasons he tended to just focus on himself. People just saw his looks and his smooth charisma, and wanted him for themselves - simply for the sake of having him for themselves. And it just didn't work out, because Josh didn't look at his partner as a thing, an appearance, or a sex object. There was an idealistic difference there and sometimes it was just too big to deal with.

"Gryffindor? Interesting. But yeah. I've been wanting to be an Auror since I was a kid" Josh would explain. "Wanting to follow in my father's footsteps. And yourself? What career path are you chasing, love?"

Scarlett suddenly felt self absorbed because of her career choice. But she loved it. She sighed a bit "I wanna be a model. I've been modeling since I was seven. Its something me and my little sister Emilie get to do together often so it gives us time together. Also I just want to bring beauty to the world." She said as she smiled softly "Emmy's always looked up to me. I wanna show her that with hard work you can achieve your dreams no matter how much the odds are against you. I wanna make my little sister and my family proud" she had never really opened up to anyone before. And she had no idea why she was opening up to him. But she was.

A model huh? Heh, she talked about wanting to bring beauty to the world, well, if that didn't sound self absorbed, he didn't know what was. But he'd let it slide. He would simply smile and nod his head. Well, she was opening up, at least, even if that beauty remark had rubbed him the wrong way.

"Well, if you wanna make them proud, make them proud" He remarked. "But do what makes you happy more then anything."

Scarlett gave him a soft smile and nodded "I plan to" she said standing up. It was getting late and she could feel a wave of tired about to hit her "its getting rather late" she said holding out her hand for him to take so she could help him to his feet

He chuckled in turn as he would take her hand, getting up to his feet. "Well, I'm sure you'll do fine" The blonde would remark with a casual shrug of his shoulders. "You certainly have the looks for it" He would tease, a playful smirk crossing his lips.

"But I suppose the both of us should be hitting the hay then, aye?"

Scarlett blushed a bit as he commented on he looks. Sure she was used to it. But it still made her blush from time to time "thank you josh" she said as she began walking to the common room. When they entered she turned to him "well... Good night" she then kissed his cheek and went to her room

Well, that was a surprising outcome to it all. He was just being him, physicality wasn't usually the norm this early. But hey, it was harmless, he'd take it.

"Good night, Scar" He would speak with a light smile, and the blonde would yawn as he headed back to the common room to sleep.
