Ptolemy never thought he could be trusting Lukas Parkinson with his plans, but the boy just happened to come upon him with his troubles at exactly the right time. As Lukas was angry and willing to go to the extreme, Ptolemy wasn't going to waste another second. He needed that anger. If he left it for much longer, Lukas may have forgotten about his frustration and simply moved on.

So he messaged Lukas to meet him in one of the greenhouses.

As he saw it, they were unlikely to be overheard in there: twice as unlikely if it was during dinner, when Professor Cross and the students were in the Great Hall. He would also be locking the door, to divert any stray Herbology buffs that wanted to talk to plants or something.

It was nearing six o'clock. Ptolemy waited, leaning up against one of the work benches.

Lukas was still pissed off about the whole Atticus and James thing. Sure, they weren't really together like that, but he thought they would be when he returned home. All to have it destroyed by James Potter. Again.

when he received Ptolemys text, he made his way down to the greenhouse, debating if this was really a good idea. But he decided that he was tired of getting hurt. He was done being made to look like a fool. when he arrived at the greenhouse, he nodded at Ptolemy and leaned against one of the tables, "So whatcha got?"

He looked up when Lukas entered.

"You make it sound like a drug deal, Lukas. Although... this is probably the right place for it."

He smirked across at him.

"We will need to do this tomorrow, on Valentine's day. Now, I heard that you socked Potter in the streets earlier, which means you are going to have to change your attitude very quickly for this to work. I want you to grovel to him for forgiveness." His eyes swept over to him, carefully measuring his reaction to that.

Lukas shrugged, not caring much about how he sounded or anything like that. He listened as Ptolemy spoke was soon frowning, "I'm sorry. You want me to what?" He was about to say no, when he remembered he said he would do whatever was needed. Ptolemy was more knowledgeable when it came to revenge than he was. He obviously knew what he was doing. He still didn't like it though, "Am I allowed to ask why?"

"In order for this to work, he's going to need to trust you a little more. I'm sure that once you explain how you were heated up and didn't mean to hit him, he will forgive you. I hear he's a lot more malleable nowadays."

He took something out of his pocket, and showed it to him. It was a phial with pale blue dust inside.

"I need you to slip this into his drink. Buy him one at the festival once you're confident he's forgiven you, and stay around him until he's drunk the entire thing. Simple enough?"

Lukas clenched his jaw a bit as he listened to the plan, "What is it?" He didn't recognize the substance he was being shown. He thought about what he was doing and wondered if it was all really with it. He decided it was. It wasn't even about Atticus anymore. It was about the disrespect he had been shown by both of them. He took the vial and shoved it in his pocket, "Yeah I understand."

"It's the powdered form of those magic beans he used to take when he was a drug addict. What I'm hoping is that it triggers his cravings again."

He took something else out from his pocket: an entire bag of them, all in varying colours.

"Then you just slip this into his pocket."

Ptolemy grinned.

"You see the best way to take Potter down is not to destroy him, but to let him destroy himself. It will put tension on his relationships as he relapses, and all the hard work he's put into getting clean will crumble," he chuckled cruelly then, "It will also be difficult to pinpoint the blame on either of us..."
