(Pre Match) - Gryffindor Team Changing Rooms

Inside the Gryffindor changing rooms, the Gryffindor quidditch team and the cheerleaders were getting dressed and ready to go on the pitch. Any last minute preparations, pep talks or discussions were to happen now before they had to go on. There was an hour left before the coin flip.

His version of match preparation was wandering around the changing rooms, swinging his bat around. Wade was never usually nervous, or if he was he had a strange way of showing it. He just wanted to get on with the show and (hopefully) get a nice, clean hit on one of those 'Puffs.

Instead of finding a spot in the stands, Andy invited herself into the changing room to chat and banter.

"Wade, who do ya think is getting injured on the pitch?"

As she adjusted her cheer uniform, Marilyn kept sneaking glances at Wade as he swung his bat around. So hunky... So dreamy...

"Hopefully Goldstein. He's such a fuckin' poser."

He eyed up Marilyn in her outfit.

"I got this new move I wanna try, but I dunno if it follows the rules exactly."

Wade grinned and held up his bat. "Dashin' this at the back of someone's head."

Andy cackled at the thought. "Nah, wait til after the match for that."

Alayna was kind of pumped for the game. It was a semi distraction from all the craziness happening at Hogwarts. She was upset because chances were Ptolemy wouldn't be able to attend the game. She wanted him to see her in her cute cheerleader uniform. She looked down at the tiny skirt she was wearing and swayed around a bit.

James was absolutely giddy and chipper at the thought of finally being able to hang with Lien more regularly again following the match; he was promised by Atticus that he'd be there after all. He changed in the gym's changing room so his teammates wouldn't feel completely uncomfortable in his presence. It felt nice to be back to play a match even though he missed all of the associated practices.

Entering the changing rooms, James glanced around clutching his broom (the older one). "Surprise! I ain't high either."

Siobhan was at her locker, she could hear Siobhan and Andy's conversation and it made her laugh, "Always the angry one, huh, Mackenna?" She closed her locker and turned to look at him, "You really gonna beat someone with the bat?" She was surprised when James actually showed up for the match, "Damn. I owe Lily 5 galleons."

"I thought you were going to snort drugs on a toilet!"

Marilyn glanced over at Alayna.

Alayna frowned when James arrived. He actually showed up? She was going to just ignore him, but Marilyn's comment made her chuckle. She was actually a bad ass when you got past the annoying part. She walked up to Marilyn and threw an arm around her shoulder, "We will have to use some of those great new cheers to cheer James on. Won't we, Mar?"

Why did they always act as if he was stupid?

"Nobody fuckin' cares 'bout yer cheers. I dunno why they're funnelin' the budget into 'at instead of new textbooks..."

Alayna rolled her eyes at him, "Just don't fuck up and lose the game for us." She didn't want to waste her energy on the likes of him. She had more important things going on.

"Oi, Potter. Fuck off, we got a better seeker."

He grinned, then gave him a friendly shove in the arm.

"Just kiddin'. Everyone knows ya more decent. Just don't fly behind me."

He gave him another shove, laughed, checked out Alayna, then moved back to talk to Andy.

Pfft. "Ye can't win without me."

Wow, Wade was more welcoming than he expected. Huh.

"'Bout the practices, I did some flyin' while in hidin' and bunch o' workouts, so that should compensate..."

He gave him a thumbs up as he went over to sit on one of the benches.

Siobhan was watching everything going on. Did Wade just check out Nott? That was weird. And definitely something she would fuck with him for later. She looked at James and just nodded in a welcome back sort of way, "Ignore her, James. Shes just being a bitch. We're glad your back."

Emery was still keeping her pregnancy a secret and didn’t want anyone knowing about it and today her mind was focused on winning the this match. She entered the Changing Rooms after speaking to the Referee and Professor Shaw, she saw a group of people, and was relieved to see James back. “Thank god our seeker is back; and if you aren’t on the Quidditch team out or go to a separate one part of the changing room, because I’d like to have a conversation with my team.” she spoke in a commanding tone.

She heard Marilyn and Alayna from outside, “Drop the hate for each other for this one damn match, because I’ll be damned if we lose because all you want to do is argue. We’ve all worked incredibly hard for this match, and it won’t hesitate to kick any of out if you want we to be divided fucks.” she spoke sternly. She didn’t have any side to this whole argument, all she cared about was winning right now.

Her team was the best damn team. And she’d be damn if they were divided because they couldn’t get along for this match.

Who knew somebody could get so moralistic over some petty broad bitching during a friendly match? For a friendly match, everyone was taking it seriously.

"Fuck sake, this ain't the Quidditch World Cup."

Emery sent James a glare, “I’d like to see our team win, because there are Quidditch scouts out there looking at us.” she said with a dark glare. “I’m just tired of everyone bitching and arguing about things. This match is important, because half the school is betting on us to win.” she said to James who she incredibly mad at for showing up now, but she was glad to have their seeker back so they can win this match.

"Yeah, fuck off Andy," he said, smirking at her as Emerald said her bit.

Wade moved over with the team.

"Nah, I agree, I wanna win. Hufflepuff are lame."

James pulled out a cigarette to destress before the match. "Before ye ask, this a regular cig."

Andy stuck out her middle finger before finally going to the stands.
