Emery had been feeling a bit numb recently because she felt like she was in a bit of trance going after Jovian. She couldn’t understand it, that she wasn’t being there for her sister like she should have been, and she decided to go and talk to Cherry, since she felt like she was going after the wrong guy since Faolan seemed always remind her to support people.

She stood outside the Head Boy and Girl Dorm, and waited for Cherry to come, hoping she didn’t find it weird. She didn’t feel like she was herself dating Jovian or whatever she was doing. She had no clue why she was going to her sisters best friend about her own guy problems.

This was weird.

There was a lot on Cherry's plate from being there for Hazel to various exhaustive assignments to having to deal with one of her housemates being accused of attacking a student. How was she supposed to stay sane with all of these happenings? She had no idea how Louis was handling everything being thrown at him, especially as his dorm was taken over by James following the dance. At least from what she understood, James was bound to move back to his actual dorm following the match. That was going to be one less worry.

She was working on proofreading one of Lien's papers when Emery had come by. For now, Cherry put her pen down and went to answer the door. "What's going on now?"

Emery walked past Cherry, and turned giving her a bit of a sigh. “I’m sorry for how I’ve been recently, and I think me dating Jovian is why I’ve been the way I am.” she said with a sigh. She turned against Hazel and went running to be besties with certain people who hated her, “I think I made a stupid mistake falling for him.” she spoke hoping Cherry didn’t kick her out.

Cherry raised an eyebrow and placed one hand on her hip before letting out a loud, deep sigh. There was always something going on with Hazel and her family. Why couldn't they lay low once in a while?

"I have one question: what the hell did you see in him?"

Emery had been asking that same exact question for ages. “I don’t know maybe I felt like he could be saved.” she said giving her a shrug. “I should have supported my sister and not sleep with him.” she said giving a little shrug. “It’s just not me.” she said feeling bad putting this on Cherry. “How’s my sister? I hear she’s constantly hear with you guys”. she asked.

"You slept with him too?"

The only person she could think of that would willingly sleep with Jovian was Mats. Mats would sleep with anybody that was interested enough. Even she herself wasn't that low on standards.

Cherry shook her head unable to believe just how stupid Emery was. "She's doing alright, I guess. She's still extremely hung up on what happened at the party."

Cherry hoped she'd get over it soon now that it's been well over a month.

Emery knew that sleeping with Jovian was a bad idea but she did. “Yes I did and have you met me. I sleep with a lot of guys.” she said with a bit of a sigh. Cherry had no place to talk with her track record either, but Emery wasn’t going to say anything.

She knew she was incredibly stupid for what she did, but it was in the past. “That sucks I am sorry for staying there and letting everyone support Carina.” she said with a sigh as she took a seat. “The sex wasn’t protected either.” she said curious to what Cherry response would be. She wasn’t pregnant as far as she knew, but she figured she needed to start telling the goddamn truth. “I was in a trance I think and I’d blame the imperious.” she said feeling like it was in the air.

What was going on in Emerald's mind? Cherry wanted to knock on her cranium to figure out if there was somebody in there or not as she found herself completely lost with what point she was getting at.

"Take a goddamn pregnancy test."

That was her biggest concern out of all of the comments made.

"And if you were under the Imperius Curse, I think it'd be extremely obvious." That was based off of what she has read anyway.

Emery didn’t want to take a pregnancy test right now, but she felt like Cherry wouldn’t give her much of a choice. “Do I have too take a pregnancy tested?” she attested since she didn’t want to know. She was scared what the results might be since she had been incredibly irresponsible.

She did make a good point.

“I still feel like I was under some kind of trance that wasn’t like me.” she said with a bit of a shrug. “Do you think I should go back to someone who makes me happy?” she asked with a raised eyebrow.

What kind of question was that? It was common sense. Cherry nodded her head frustratingly. "Yes, yes you do. You also need to test yourself for STDs." She hadn't adapted the Britishism of STI.

"You weren't under a spell, Emery. You were just dumb and hormonal like everyone else at this school is..."

How many relationships had Emery been in?

"Maybe you should spend some time single..."

Emery didn’t exactly know what it was like to be single for a period it time, and let out a sigh, “I like having sex though, Cherry.” she said with a bit of a groan. “I’ve never known what’s it like to be single.” she said since the past couple years she’s been in relationship after relationships.

“Could I take a pregnancy test here?” she said with a nervous sigh. She didn’t feel comfortable taking one anywhere else right now, “Will you come with me?” she asked since she wanted some moral support while she fixing her mistake. “Do you think Hazel is going to kill me?” she asked.

Emery felt terrible right now.

"I've hardly been in actual relationships, and I still have it. You don't need to be tied down to have it!"

Cherry couldn't understand why all of her classmates were so desperate to get into serious relationships, but she knew they also didn't have the upbringing she did.

"I'd rather you take it with me as I know you wouldn't be avoiding it as long as possible."

Would Hazel be pissed? It was very possible knowing her, but Cherry couldn't find an answer to that question. "Come on, let's get to the hospital wing."

Emery knew she should take this an opportunity to try and actually be responsible with her life choices, and she nodded to Cherry. “I can always have casual relationships.” she said with a bit of a shrug, since she felt like she was happier when she was single,

She was incredibly confused right now. “What are we going to do if the test is positive?” she asked, because she knew with all that was going this was all they really needed right now. Add another pregnancy on too the one where James got a girl pregnant.

“Okay, but I’m scared.” she said as she started to head towards the door. Hazel was so going to kill her right now, but she might as rip the bandage off.

She hoped the test wouldn't be positive. If it was, how the hell were they supposed to keep that quiet for the match? Emery was team captain after all! She had to make all the shots and be one of the most highlighted players. Gryffindor would be in quite a pickle when most of the school was rooting for them!

"It's understandable that you're scared, Emery..."

The two began making their way to the hospital wing to see if a pregnancy could be ruled out. Why were a lot of people making reckless, life-changing decisions?

Emery didn’t know what to do if the test came back positive especially with all that was going on right now. She sat in one of the seats in the waiting area, and looked at Cherry with a sigh. “I really fucked up right now you know.” she sighed. They we’re waiting for one of the healers to come out and tell her the results. “What do I do if it comes back positive?” she said with a bit of a raised eyebrow right now. She knew Cherry and Hazel were mad at her right now, but she knew there was no way out of things went south.

"We all make mistakes. Actually use contraceptive next time..."

Cherry fidgeted with her hands hoping Healer Ashton would get this carried out sooner. "Er, uh, you'll have to decide that for yourself. You just should try to keep quiet of it with the match coming up..."

She hoped nobody would catch on if it was positive; at least nobody at this school went around screaming whenever someone tested negative.

A few minutes later one of the healers had come back and said. "The results came back positive."

Emery didn't plan on telling a single soul about this if she could help it. They didn't need to know about this, and she knew that if she wanted to keep playing Quidditch she had to keep it secret. Her heart sank to her stomach, and she exchanged a sad glance with Cherry, "I can't believe I'm pregnant." spoke Emery with a sigh.

This couldn't be happening right now.

Pregnant? It was very tempting to slap Emery for being so stupid, but she knew Emery needed somebody for support. Hazel was too occupied with her own thing, and it didn't seem like her siblings were frequent confidants in general.

"Try to not get too stressed about the match..?"

That was the best she could think of.

Emery sunk in the chair and wanted to run and cry in her dormitory right now. No one could find out about this until she felt ready to resign from the Quidditch team, and she knew this would be a huge embarrassment. "Yeah and let's hope to god I don't get a bludger to the stomach," she said with a lot of frustration. "Should I tell Jovian that I'm pregnant?" she asked as she repositioned herself in the chair. "I don't think the relationship is going to last," she spoke with a sigh.

"So you're going through with the pregnancy then..?"

Cherry doubted that Emery would be capable of taking decent care of a child with all of the stuff she had going on. Besides, who'd want Tabitha as a grandmother? "If you want to tell him..."

She didn't feel equipped to help Emery with this, but it wasn't like Hazel would be of the mind to be there for her own sister.

"Anybody could've told you that."
