Ben was in the gym doing some workouts. He had an upcoming match and wanted to be in the best shape for the game.

He had been doing push ups and hoped to get to 200 for this workout. Although the sound of footsteps made him groan, because it meant he had to leave his workout which he didn’t want to do.

With the match coming up, Marilyn found herself hanging around the gym for any random tidbits of gossip to get her hands on and to see if Wade was there. For personal reasons!

She frowned at the lack of Wadeykins in the gym. What was she to do now? Marilyn spotted one of the Hufflepuffs and decided to approach him. "Your house is so going to lose!"

Ben got up from his push up and eyed Marilyn, “Don’t you have someone else to bother, and you know cheerleading is a lot of work right? So why are you sitting around her annoying people.” he said as he got up and walked over to her. He found Marilyn very pretty, but she needed to stop poking in other people business. “We’ve been practicing just as hard, and at least our team doesn’t have a lot of heat.”

"If you didn't know, my squad has been practicing with the team! My presence doesn't annoy anybody!" Marilyn crossed her arms and looked away holding her head high and mighty. "But Gryffindor is definitely going to win with Wade on the team!"

At least the reserve seeker shows up to practice!

Ben laughed because he didn’t find Wade all that good. “Wow, are you telling me you are crushing on Wade? Emery and Maverick are by far the best players. At least they dedicate their life to it.” he said giving her a little smirk. “I promise you I’m way better than Wade.” he teased. He did like Marilyn a little bit.

Didn't everyone know of her crush on Wade? What rock was this badger living under?! Hmph! Marilyn dropped her jaw in disgust hearing Benjamin claim to be better than Wade. In what world?! "I can't help that you're not as dreamy as Wadeykins!"

Ben didn’t find Wade all that spectacular. He felt like the guy was abusive and didn’t have any care for anyone but himself, he rolled his eyes at her response.

“That’s sounds like gossip, gossip queen.” he pointed out,

Ben didn’t get why he found Marilyn attractive. She was a eavesdropper.

"Depends on what you define as gossip! At this school, powdering your nose is gossip!"
