Skylar was not one to usually attend student oriented events, but she had giving Mystique her word she would attend. She saw her friend talking with the Grounds keeper and smiled and gave them both a Wave before looking for someone else she could talk to. She didn't want to stand there awkwardly. She smoothed out the red fabric of her dress when she felt someone else's presence.

Reed was almost in disbelief at what was being said to him. Dinner..? Inappropriate? A date?! Who knew he'd get that lucky so early in his teaching career? Boo yah!

"I'd love that! When and where?!"

"Perhaps over the weekend. Isn't there a hogsmeade trip?" She always got the students schedules a bit mixed up in her head. "I haven't been to the Hogs head yet, but I hear they make a very good Fire whiskey."

"Yeah, I think there is now that you mention it," Reed replied smiling. He needed to check the academic calendar to be sure once the dance was over before heading to the staff afterparty, especially for the event of there being more Hogsmeade weekend dates. "You've never been to Hog's Head?! Yeah, we gotta get you some firewhiskey!"

Skylar smiled and clapped her hands together, "Excellent. It will be a great afternoon." She was excited at the prospect of getting to know him better. "Sadly I have not had the pleasure yet. I guess you'll be my first time." She said, referring to her first visit to the Hogs Head, "I don't go to Hogsmeade often."

"Yeah, it will be!"

For once in his life, he had Hogsmeade weekend plans that wasn't just getting some beer and wings. It felt awesome! Reed didn't know if that double entendre was intentional, but he simply nodded. "Hogsmeade is epic! They've expanded since I attended!" Teenaged Reed would be extremely jealous of his older self for being able to get wings in Hogsmeade.

Skylar didn't attend Hogwarts, so she didn't know much about the little neighboring village, other than it was a fun place for the students to get to visit, "Is there a shop I could get some potions at? I need some new healing herbs as well." She said thinking she could multi task over the weekend.

"I think there is? I think you can find a potions catalogue among all of the magazines in the staff room if there isn't one in Hogsmeade."

Reed visited the staff lounge enough times for various treats that he had a general idea of where everything was.

"That's good to know." So if she couldnt find what she needed in Hogsmeade, she could just order it. That might be easier to do from the start, but she still wanted to explore the village. She picked up another cup of punch and sipped it. This time, she tasted something off, "Reed. Try the punch. Does something taste... Different?" .

Reed squinted as he went to get a whiff of the punch from Skylar. Sniff sniff. "It's been spiked! The punch always gets spiked, I don't know why!"

He began trying to form an impromptu barricade.

"Hey, kids, don't spike the punch!" he yelled out after grabbing a nearby megaphone.

Skylar nodded when Reed confirmed that the punch had indeed been tampered with. She figured they would just report to the head mistress and she would handle it. But suddenly, Reed had a megaphone and Skylar was laughing. She didn't know why, but that was just such a Reed thing to do, "You are so delightful." She said, her sides hurting from laughing.

"I repeat: don't spike the punch!"

The student body gave no real reaction beyond eye rolls and a few snickers. Ah, what did he expect?

"See? I can control a room of kids just fine!" Reed also began to laugh finding Skylar's joy contagious.

"I am going to have a lot of hang overs to cure tomorrow morning." She said, shaking heard head. She gave him a smile and placed a hand on his arm, "You did very well." She knew the students wouldn't listen to them about the punch.

"We'll have to send gallons of water to each house at this rate..."

From his uni days, he could remember how much he had to remind himself to stay hydrated while drinking to counter the awful effects.

"You really think so?! We'll have to stop by my room before we go to the staff afterparty as my wallet and everything is in there..."

Skylar frowned knowing that tomorrow was going to be a rough day. Children, always a glutton for punishment. "I guess I better enjoy myself tonight seeing as I'm going to be very over worked tomorrow." She nodded when he said he needed to grab his wallet, "I may want to change out of this dress as well. It is very flattering, but not for drinking beer and eating messy wings."

Yeah, it would be a lot smarter to enjoy the night before having to clean up all of the students' various messes.

"Yeah, I'm going to change into a graphic tee and a pair of jeans myself. This is too professional for breasts and beers!"

Freudian slip. Oops.

"Uh huh, wings, yeah." he laughed.
