It was the middle of the night, and Anelie was woken up by her stomach rumbling loudly. Her body was a nervous wreck since she transferred to Hogwarts that it still hadn't adjusted to her timetable or new routines. It was a good thing that she wasn't too far from the kitchens; she just had to hope that she wouldn't get caught. She didn't want to get in trouble for wanting a midnight snack.

Tiptoeing into the kitchens, Anelie tried her hardest to not make a single noise. She'd be fine with a handful of crackers to get rid of the hunger.

Fred had just assembled the most beastly sandwich known to mankind. It stood at least half a foot tall, and was chock with slabs of ham and lashings of mustard.

As his sleeping schedule wasn't entirely normal, he was often wide awake at this time of the night. He was going to tackle the cranberry bushes in time for the yule season, but first he needed some fuel to do it. These bushes were gargantuan at this time of year: so much so that he liked to crack out his 22 LR and blast the extra berries to splattered pulp.

Anyway: this sandwich. It was great. He was just about to take a hefty bite out of it, when he heard the portrait open.

"Rumbled!" He said, finger-gunning the young student who stepped in.

Anelie immediately put her hands up hoping she wasn't about to get in trouble?

Her stomach growled even louder. She needed to eat something.

He laughed, then waved his hand in a dismissive sort of way.

"Ah, I ain't gonna grass ya," He said, taking a big bite of the sandwich. "Firf stef off rebefen..." He swallowed. "First step o'rebellion, get caught by the right people."

He pulled out the seat next to him, inviting her to join.

"Ain't seen you before. Here." He scraped over a glass, and poured her some ginger beer.

A small smile grew on her face when she realized that she wasn't going to be punished. Oh, how lucky she was!

"I transferred zere this September," Anelie said as she sat in the seat pulled out for her. "Danks."

"Ever been in 'ere before? Just ask the elves what ya want and they'll whip it up for ya."
