Lazar still couldn't believe that he had been lucky enough to get the newest, hottest girl at Hogwarts as his date to the dance; he didn't realize it could be so easy! He looked snazzier and less dorky than usual thanks to his father sending him one of his suits from when he attended Hogwarts; It wasn't exactly his style, but he had to impress Chase, and he wouldn't be able to do that by looking like his usual self. He also transfigured the frames of his glasses to look less round. He needed to look sharp to turn heads!

Being a gentleman, he stopped by the Hufflepuff common room with a bouquet of roses to pick Chase up. He couldn't wait to see what kind of dress she was wearing and how she did her hair. Lazar believed Chase was going to be the most beautiful girl at the entire dance. "Cuh-can you let Chase know I'm here..?" he asked one of her housemates who appeared to be exiting the common room.

"I-I grabbed some sort of drink and had a sip..." Now that he thought about it, the taste was just a bit odd. Huh. Lazar had to figure out why now! He shook his head in response to Thalia's question. "I-I don't see why unless he's tagging along with my dad as part of a surprise Weird Sisters performance..."

He smiled watching the two meet. "Chase, d-did I mention that my dad's the bassist of the Weird Sisters?" They were a world famous band!

"Now that you mention it, it did taste a little off. Did someone spike it or something?" She asked, wondering if that was the answer the the problem. Her eyes widened when Lazar said he was the song of the bass player for Weird Sisters, "Shut the fuck up. Are you serious?" She was a huge weird sisters fan, "No freaking way. I'm on a date with the coolest guy ever."

"I don't know... sometimes he pops up in unexpected places though. Last week he went to some club in Knockturn. But he's not cool at all, so I don't get it."

Thalia beamed at her.

"Oh aye! The wee date, o'course! Nice to meet you too, as long as he steal Lazar and not all the boys at school."

She gave her a heavy look, but cracked up. She was completely joking. Sort of.

"Yes! Lazar! This is such a moment for you! She believes you about your Dad, awwh. Finally."

"Knockturn. I haven't been there yet. But it sounds cool. We should check out the club scene some time." She said, wondering what kind of fun they could get into. "I'll try my best not to bewitch every body. But a few people already don't like me due to me being a veela. They say stupid things and then get angry with me." She said, frowning a bit. She was confused by Thalia's next statement, "Do people not believe you? Why would you lie about something like that?"

Knockturn?! Wasn't that place supposedly evil? Then again, he heard it had plenty of hot activities going on...

"I-I thought being my dad's brother gave him enough street cred? Clout? Is that not the case?" Compared to his dad, Thalia's was a bit uncool.

Lazar did think that a club would be more entertaining than this dance; maybe the adults there would be more likely to not dismiss his inherited clout. "I-I don't know why they don't believe me. They think that I'm too geeky to be his son. My birth was in the papers! There's the DNA test to prove my paternity!" General rock star protocol.

"Oh I'm not angry with you, I just need ye to stay away from Maverick Cartwright? Just tell him his face looks like an ass or something like that."

She grinned at her.

"Isn't Lazar cute?" she said to Chase, "But also what the heck are ye doing?" she asked her, in a lower voice, through clenched teeth.

"Well then they're a bunch of losers." She said, holding Lazars hand in her own and giving him a sweet smile. "we can go together some time. It'll be super fun." She looked over at Thalia and raised an eyebrow, "I don't think I've met him yet." Did Thalia have a crush on this Maverick guy? Suddenly, she was up close and asking her what she was doing, "What do you mean? I'm just trying to enjoy the dance?" She felt threatened and she didn't like feeling that way.

Her fear seemed quite genuine, actually. Plus she was a Hufflepuff. She'd never met a Hufflepuff with an ulterior motive, so perhaps it was a bit harsh to judge her so quickly.

Thalia smiled.

"Yeah. So ye are." Maybe Lazar would get hurt, maybe he wouldn't. Maybe it was just good for him to get the experience, and he was enjoying himself now. "Have ye met Louis Weasley yet? It's like she's the girl version of him. Hey - Lazar. Isn't it like she's the girl version of Louis?"

As Thalia and Chase chatted, Lazar stared at Chase as he drank his odd-tasting punch. No matter what she did, she looked like an angel. It was mesmerizing.

"I don't know, but I know she's an angel..."

How lucky he'd be if he at least got a kiss at the end of the night!

Chase looked at Lazar then back to Thalia, "Y-yeah. I met him briefly. He's really kind. It's nice to know someone that goes through the same thing so do. Having people not be able to control their urges around you. And you feel guilty about things you have no control over." She smiled at Lazars comment, "I'm no angel."

"Awh. Don't feel guilty about it. It's not like ye can help it or anything."

She supposed if Maverick really did get attracted to her, it was only natural.

"No, sometimes I think Louis is an angel, I suppose. Did ye hear that he doesn't actually do a number two? It's just flowers."

Thalia nodded very seriously, as though she was uncovering some great secret.

Lazar felt so natural during the date although they hadn't done too much currently. He was very happy Thalia and Chase were getting along!

"I heard he doesn't experience emotions or flatulence..."

Chase shrugged when Thalia said not to feel guilty, "Can't help it. I'd feel horrible if some girls boyfriend flirted with me in front of her because he can't control himself." However, what she said next caught her off guard, "Hold on. Wait. What? Are you serious?" She asked while laughing.

"Ah no, he must do. My friend Eva tried holding it in the entire time she was meeting her boyfriend's family. She managed the entire time his family were around, but once they were in the bedroom it only took a wee tickle and... aye."

She nodded seriously again. Eva was a muggle who likely invented that story.

"I thunk most girls know their fellas are gonna react to ye somehow. So don't worry. I just wish ye were Ravenclaw. We need ye in the cheerleader team!"

Unfair!

Wade was passing by, and took Lazar's glasses. He pressed a cupcake into each of the lenses, then put them back on him. Nodding, satisfied, he went to walk away again.

Lazar was about to comment on Thalia's story from Eva only to have his glasses end up like that.

"At least I have a date, MacKenna! That makes me more of a man than you!"

And this feud began over snacks!

What was he about to say again? Oh yeah!

"I-I heard that if you hold it too much, you could get so constipated you could die!"

Chase nodded at Thalia, she was really nice. She would like to consider her a friend. She was about to say something back to them about the friend and the family when Mackenna took lazars glasses. She dropped her jaw for a moment before a frown formed on her face, "Hey!" She walked over to him and grabbed his arm, "Do you have some issue or are you just a jack ass?"

He felt someone grab his arm. Was it that dumb Irish chick again? Turning about with a scowl, he was looking into the eyes of a Veela. The arm that she had hold of instinctively tensed. He knew that he wanted her to feel all his hard work, that he was a Quidditch player. "I'm whatever you want," he said mindlessly, "Don't matter to me."

He heard himself speak and was annoyed at what he'd said, but he couldn't open his mouth to protest against it.

"Oh Lazar..."

She took her wand out from somewhere around her chest area (?!) and pointed it at his glasses, giving them a clean.

"That was so cool, though. Ye really stood up to him!"

Chase felt him flex under her hand and scoffed in disgust, dropping it quickly. "Whatever I want, huh? Well... What I want is for you to apologize to Lazar and be a good person." She gave him a charming smile, "Doesn't that sound nice?"

Lazar smiled in amazement that he did, in fact, stand up to MacKenna. He was officially a man in that department!

"He can't hurt me anymore!"

That could be the high from being with Chase all night.

"I am a MAN!"

He was dazed again.

"Yeah. Whatever. Can we snog now or what?"

Whatever she wanted. He just wanted to feel her.

She giggled.

She wanted part of his little celebration!

Chase looked at him as if he grew a second head, "Are you serious? I'm literally on a date. And you just harassed my date. So you're going to apologize. Or else, I'll just think you're an ass hole. And I don't like ass holes." She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him.

Part of his rationality was saying that this girl was messing with his head again, so he desperately clutched onto that as a way of getting out of his nonsensical behaviour. He angrily tore his eyes away from her, looking elsewhere.

"Go ahead and think what ya want," he muttered, "I don't care. Just stop screwin' around with my head!" he thundered, stomping away angrily.
