With how new the physical education class was to Hogwarts, Reed had a hard time dealing with the fact that whenever it was his turn for gym, he would have to figure out lessons for two different classes. He was fortunate that it was much easier to bullshit something for gym as long as students were moving around to some degree. Looking down at his uniform, Reed cringed; they were straight out of the 70s and weren't the kindest to his rotund figure. Could they not muster the funds for something less revealing? Oh well, he needed to look as tough as possible. Show the kids who's in charge.

He blew a whistle with a dodgeball tucked under his arm. "Get dressed, guys! Get ready to rumble!"

It seemed Mei Chang, in the grade above her, was struggling with the concept of the uniform too. Layla had scuttled out from the changing rooms, squeaked inside of her throat, and grabbed Mei's hand.

"We're sticking together Mei," she whispered. Even the cheerleader uniform was better than this: at least the skirt was nice and wasn't tight across the butt like these shorts seemed to be.

It was fairly obvious that Discordia was out of place. Physical education wasn't something she'd show even the slightest interest in. The uniforms were a stark contrast from her usual apparel; they were impossible to conceal a sharp object in.

She walked towards her sister, Athena, and stared at her and everyone else. "Hello, dear sister."

"No! Honestly, you don't. It's just that I've never seen you give so much leg before."

She smiled at him. Professor Jackson also looked funny. Louis didn't, somehow. James Potter's didn't leave much to the imagination. Lakelyn looked cute in hers. And Ptolemy looked like a strong wind might knock something loose.

There she was again. Giggling behind her hand.

Marilyn was not a fan of these uniforms except for the fact she thought they made her butt look cute. The cheerleading uniforms were so much cuter and nicer to wear! How was she supposed to show how great she is in this?!

Getting out of the changing room, she blushed furiously seeing Wade in the uniform. He looked like a hunk no matter what he wore!

"Because I normally don't show much leg. Do you see why? They're so pale that even my dad has more of a tan!"

Narkissos couldn't help but consider these shorts to be utterly degrading. Wasn't it awful enough that he received flack for enforcing school rules? He tugged the shirt. "No wonder why Potter always wore looser trousers..."

Mei just couldn’t get over how much leg her uniform showed! And her shoulders and chest as well! She was slightly mortified and probably fixating a bit so she was startled when Layla came and grabbed her hand. Though, as soon as she heard the girl’s voice, she smiled ever so slightly. ”oh, thank goodness. I was feeling very out of place. It’s good to have a friend to stick with.” she said to the other girl, truly meaning it. She looked up at Louis when he called over to her and blushed a bit more. ”ummm, sure.” she said as she practically dragged Layla along with her to the group Louis was in.

Lakelyn tapped one finger against her bottom lip as she thought over Louis’ question. She glanced at Professor Reed and saw the ball he had under his arm but that didn’t help her too much! ”Maybe kick ball? Or dodgeball?” she answered thoughtfully then looked to Carina with a smile as she spoke. ”I don’t think they would have us do anything we could get seriously hurt doing… then again, I guess flying class is dangerous so I can’t be too sure!” she said with a shrug.

Athena looked up as she heard her sister’s voice. She knew that the other girl was always one to be watched since she had a thing for sharp objects. Luckily, Athena couldn’t remember ever being on the receiving end of her obsession but she still didn’t trust her. Not that she would say as much. She didn’t even allow herself to tense when the other girl approached her. ”Discordia. What a waste of time this is.” she complained with her arms still crossed over her chest.

Twirling his hair, Cernunnos wasn't the most bothered about the ensemble he had to wear for the class other than the fact that the yellow wasn't the kindest to his undertones.

"I don't know if I could handle playing dodgeball~!"

"A waste indeed." Discordia glanced over at James and Lien blankly before turning back to her sister. Due to not having a long sleeve to fidget with, she scratched her wrist instead. "I tried to fix him," she stated pointing to Lien. "I couldn't... I was stopped..."

"It's just... in my boxers. But they were longer than the shorts so I just had to--" Why was he talking about this? And why was this the second time he'd seen James's man bulge in a week? It was unsettling.

And also - how were Wade MacKenna and Cherry Darling's uniforms different?

He was the worst Ravenclaw sometimes. The thought of having to wear the uniform, and having to do gym class distracted him.

He'd left his wand in the changing rooms now. There was no point in going to get it...

"Mei?" he said to himself, as he saw her with Louis Weasley and a few other girls. He frowned at them.

Marilyn was looking over at him. He scowled back at her, but was checking her over all the same. Stupid girls he thought, but felt the urge to show off more now she was there.

"Dodgeball?" He heard someone else suggest it. "We don't need no balls for that. There's massive fuckin' ball bag right 'ere-" He pointed at Lazar. "- Let's just kick around that."

"I mean, yeah, but with shorts so tight, ye can only position it so many ways."

Following Chang's sight, he noticed that a few had comfier uniforms on. "Aye, MacKenna, how the fuck did ya get bigger shorts? I need breathin' room!"

James took a closer glance at Lien. "I think ye got the slightest bit of muscle since the incident." It was a nice start.

Dropping his jaw, Lazar scurried to the top of the bleachers. "No! I'm not some human kickball! You have to do something, professor!"

He smiled at Alayna, then turned to Macmillan as he came over.

"I don't know. He probably would have liked them for one reason only..."

He eyed James's bulge pointedly and laughed.

"I don't know those. Are they lots of fun?" Dodgeball and kick ball. Interesting.

He smiled at Mei as she joined, with Hazel's sister close by. "Oh hello Layla. I didn't see you there." He beamed at them both in turn. "We were just talking about what we thought was going to happen in the class. What do you think?"

She was relieved to hear that Mei considered her a friend.

"Maybe somehow we can keep in the background and not join in too much..." she said tremulously-, as they moved over to Louis and a few other girls. When he addressed her directly, her face went pink. "Hi... um, well... Basketball? Maybe?"

"Join us, Cherry," he said, smiling.

Hearing Louis, Cherry joined him and the other Hufflepuffs. "Is it me or are they Americanizing Hogwarts a bit? On the other hand, they must enjoy not having to use the Great Hall for every dance now..."

He sighed. Then James said something very unexpected. "Muscles? I don't know about that..." But he looked hopefully at Alayna. If that were true, had she noticed as well?

James nodded. "Yeah, he's shagged buncha broads. He's straighter than Fred 'cause he actually knows what a broad feels like. I dunno if he reads those girly mags." Nor did he care to know about Louis' personal habits that intimately.

Adjusting his shorts yet again, James began trying to figure out where he stuck his wand.

"Gonna take time and lotsa weights, but ye startin' somewhere..."

"If we play dodgeball, will it mess up my face?! I'm Head Cheerleader, I can't be disfigured before the first match of the term!"

Marilyn felt around her face as she kept her eyes on Wade. Where was Evelyn? What if Archer was right..? She ran back into the changing room before she could spit out anything without thinking.

Being tardy as usual, gym class was a sigh to behold for Andy. It was extra good to be late today! Laughing as she grabbed the ball from Reed and chucked it elsewhere in the gym, she asked, "What the fuck are ya wearing?"

What the hell?! He didn't realize James was so...

"He'd appreciate the eye candy and then spend the rest of the day denying being gay," Macmillan added rubbing his temples. "I don't know why the twat just doesn't admit it to himself when every fucking person in Britain knows..."

It was refreshing to have a new class to choose from, but Aquila wasn't a fan of how it was seemingly mandatory for every student to take. Why didn't nobody alert them of the curriculum change before the start of the year? The outdated, tight uniforms didn't help either. It felt like she had a wedgie to constantly pick out.
