Just below the surface (open)

Alayna floated along the top of the water of the pool and stared at the ceiling of the room. She had alot on her mind and didnt know what to do about all of the thoughts running around in her skull. She sighed and closed her eyes as she just... floated. She heard someone else enter the room and quickly opened her eyes and looked towards the door.

Ollie liked having late-night swims to get his mind off the stresses of schoolwork, and it was a good way for him to stay in shape for the Quidditch season. He had changed into his trunks in the dressing room and walked out to the pool to spot Alayna floating on top of the water, and he called out. "Hey Alayna, it's been a while," he said as he walked over to sit on the edge and dip his feet in the water. "How was your summer?" he commented.

Alayna stopped floating and began treading underwater, "Oleander Parkinson. It has been a while. My summer was good. Fashion week in Paris, a couple of music festivals, the weekly girl nights." She swam over to him and smiled, "How was yours?"

Ollie got envious of his friends who got to live luxurious lifestyles while he spent his summer trying to avoid his mother's one-night stands and dealing with her latest pregnancy which grossed him out. The fact Pansy Parkinson had no respect for herself made him want to cry, and he had to call her his mother. "Yeah it definitely has, and that's good you got to attend Fashion Week, and I'm shocked your father let you go since he is a purist," he said with a shrug. He thought purists were against any sort of muggle functions. A little uneasy laugh came from Ollie, "My summer was spent dealing with a pregnant Pansy and her one-night stands coming over all the fucking time." he said, he was trying to hide back wanting to throw up.

"I don't have to tell Daddy everything I do. Besides, he was more focused on Atticus this summer so I just asked mother." She hoped Oleander wouldn't ask where Atticus was. She didn't want to have to explain the whole story of him coming out and their father exiling him. "Holy fuck, really? Damn, that must suck. She really needs to get a new hobby."

Ollie didn't feel like getting into that situation and was glad that he hadn't been up on Alayna's business. Since that sucked since his mother liked to say shit about him going over to see Carina. "My mother only cares about what I do, when she's drunk on whatever vodka she's drinking and wants to bitch about the Malfoys." he sighed. Astoria was gone, so why did it fucking matter what Ollie had done in his free time. The Ravenclaw agreed, that she needed to find a new hobby. "Yes she does, because this one involves producing kids, and more years onto the parenting list," he said, not like she did all that good with the current kids that she had.

"Pansy still has the draco wand up her ass? I get it. Mr Malfoy is one fine piece of man. But it's been over 20 years. She needs to get over it." She thought of pansy dropping off one of her bastard children at the platform for their first year at the age of, like, 60 and she couldn't help but laugh, "Look on the bright side. Once your legal, you can leave. But she has to stay with all those crying mouths to feed. And the void in her heart and between her legs will never fully be fulfilled."

Ollie knew his mother was someone who was very much lost in the past. A past where she never came to the reality of a lot of life. She’d been a bit of a tramp, “I think she’s stuck in the 90s to say the least,” he had pointed out. She didn’t know how to be a good mother to her children. “Yeah I know and I have a couple flats lined up, but I’m probably going to stay with my uncle in Appleby until my flats are finalized.” he spoke knowing his mother would try to mock his greatness.
