Intrigued by Louis' curiosity surrounding the Muggle world, Cernunnos decided he was going to take advantage of a Hogsmeade weekend to introduce him to it and take him to a party there. He decided that if his friend was going to do any sort of slip-up or just be confused in general, he was going to cover for the other. Sitting at a bus stop to take the bus, Cernunnos was texting on his phone to try and confirm the location of the party being thrown by one of his muggle peers.

"Alright, so as word of advice on the bus, most people are like minding their own business, so like don't try to initiate conversation unless they seem interested in talking. I know where we'll stop at, so I'll just drag you off if I have to as you wouldn't know the area."

Apparently, waiting at this sheltered mini station would make the bus arrive, and Louis was quite excited about the journey and the party. He listened to Cernu's advice, but still seemed entranced at the prospect of the bus coming 'round the corner. He was watching up the road in anticipation.

"Won't we be sitting together?" He asked, thinking of the compartments in the Hogwarts Express. He had heard of the Knight Bus but hadn't actually seen it, let alone board it. Was the Knight Bus the same as a muggle bus? "I brought some cake for the party," He told him eagerly.

"Assuming that like most of the seats aren't taken, yeah. If we're lucky, there'd be two empty ones right beside each other. I'll take care of the bus fare."

Once the bus had arrived, Cernunnos sat up from the bench and directed for Louis to follow. He stepped onto the bus and paid the fare to the driver as he began scanning the seats to see if there were any that wouldn't be too much trouble. He took a seat beside an elderly woman and pointed out the seat in the aisle across for Louis to take.

"All right..." Maybe he'd buy him something to eat later or something.

Boarding the bus, he saw that it had quite a lot of seats inside there; but there were a lot of muggles already aboard. Louis followed Cernu's direction and sat down next to a boy about his own age. The boy had earbuds in his ears, that sort of looked like antennas. They were white. He stared at them, and him.

The boy didn't seem to take notice of him.

"Do you know what the party is going to be like?" He asked Cernu, tearing his eyes away from the antenna boy.

Cernunnos got told by the elderly woman that he was a beautiful young lady, but not wanting to disappoint her, all he responded was, "Thank you."

He looked over to see how lucky Louis got. "Oh. He can't hear you. He has airpods in listening to loud trap music."

"Okay, so you know the parties at our school? The party we're going to is wayyy harder as there's no parents or like adults around."

Louis didn't know whether he liked the idea of being trapped in music. It must have been a muggle thing.

"Oh... is it a birthday party?" He asked, feeling his cake could be a good asset after all.

"...No."

Yep. He was totally going to have to show Louis how to party.

"I wouldn't have taken you to some boring birthday party that's just a dinner at Frankie and Benny's."

"So it will sort of be like a club experience, then?" He asked, beaming.

The bus was very loud and bouncy, but no one else seemed bothered by it. As it rolled on, he realised that he felt a little sick. He didn't have anything for nausea, so he just stayed quiet for a while. Perhaps he should have brought some potions along with him, not some sickening iced sponge cake that was making him feel even more nauseous...

The boy next to him wanted to get off. Louis nodded, but didn't move. The boy kept staring at him.

"Oh, right," He stood up and allowed him passage, finally.

Cernunnos watched as Louis navigated Muggle etiquette. Good thing their stop was coming up soon...

"How's the ride?"

Louis felt as though he couldn't answer immediately. His insides were lurching, and he was regretting eating soon before the journey. When he finally felt as though he could open his mouth without expelling anything, he said:

"It's fine..."

"Sweet."

Once at the stop, Cernunnos rose from his seat and tapped Louis on the shoulder waving to the old lady that was beside him.

Off the bus, he said to the other, "The house we're going to is a couple blocks down the road."

To say Louis was glad for the bus's arrival was an understatement. He felt as though his face had turned green. He noticed that Cernu had waved to the old lady beside him: was that just a gesture of friendliness, or was it expected when you departed a bus? Just in case, he waved generally in the direction where he came from.

There was little response.

He hopped off the bus. "How many people are going to be at the party?" He asked, feeling excited despite his lingering nausea.

Cernunnos looked down at his fingers and began counting. "Ten? Fifteen? Twenty? I don't know. I just know lots of my friends will be there!" There was a clear excitement in his voice as he said that.

After walking the couple blocks, he turned to his right. "There's the house!"

The walk and fresh air was settling his stomach, to the point where he was quite excited again. There was a thud, thud, thud of bass as they approached the house. What muggle device caused that much reverberation? A sound system, that was it. Maybe he could ask Cernu's muggle friends what sound system they had. Then he would sound very knowledgeable!

When they approached the door, Louis knocked enthusiastically.

"What's that playing right now?" He asked Cernu, knowing he would get a very accurate answer.

"Some Soundcloud rapper. I don't get it honestly."

The host of the party answered the door immediately dragged Cernunnos inside. "Cernu, you gotta try this Dragon Soop!"

"I'm here to have fun not end up in a ditch!"

The host almost didn't take notice of Louis. "You brought a friend?"

"I told you I would."

Louis beamed, and held out the cake in the box to the guy who opened the door.

"Hello, I'm Louis. Thank you for letting me come along!"

He gazed about the house in intrigue. There were a lot of things about the place that looked like speakers, and he was sure that he saw one of those televisions out the corner of his eye. People were drinking. He was pretty sure it wasn't just juice in those cups, either...

"George, this is Louis. Louis, this is George," Cernunnos said trying to introduce Louis to the host and vice versa. "George and I went to primary together."

Cernunnos wasn't fazed by all the noise; he was fairly well-accustomed to it.

He looked around. "Where's the food? I'm starved."

"In the kitchen."

"Alright, cool."

When Cernunnos had left for the kitchen, George glanced at Louis. "Don't tell me you're a fan of the Harlequins."

Louis watched Cernu leave for the kitchens once he was introduced to George. Perhaps he was a little nervous about being left on his own with a muggle: upholding the statute of wizarding secrecy was very difficult for him. He realised that he'd never had a real conversation with a muggle before, one that didn't know about the wizarding world, anyway.

"Hmm..." He pretended to dwell on the question, but really he was wondering what the question actually meant. Harlequins? Nope - sorry. This was probably the safest option: "They're okay." Perhaps he should change the subject fast. "So what's this dragon soup like?"

He hoped it wasn't actual soup made from dragons. But, as far as he knew, muggles thought dragons were mythical...

George shrugged off Louis' response about the Harlequins. "More of a football kind of bloke? Me too, mate. Dragon soop combines alcohol and energy drinks. A bloody great buzz."

Cernunnos replied to the scene chewing on a mozzarella stick and holding a cup of punch in the other hand for Louis. "Don't worry, no alcohol."

He looked over to George. "I think Louis' a lightweight."

"All Star" by Smash Mouth began playing through the speakers.

Louis just nodded. Okay, so that was quite an efficient response. It was probably going to be said pretty often at this party. Energy drinks were probably ones with a high sugar content, he supposed. Or coffee.

Needless to say, he was glad when Cernu returned. He took the cup and said thanks.

"Why would you think that?" He asked, chuckling brightly. He sipped the drink.

"You look and seem the type," Cernunnos answered shrugging and began to sing along to "All Star" when it started playing.

George had ran off to socialize with some of the other guests.

"Somebody once told me the world was gonna roll me..."

He definitely wasn't expecting Louis to know this song.

Louis smiled innocently but said, loudly, over the music:

"What if I outdrink you then?"

Maybe it was the atmosphere, but it was pretty intoxicating.

"I'd like to see you try."

Cernunnos yelled out, "Where's the jelly shots?!"

He got a hold of some jelly shots and handed one to Louis.

Louis blinked at the jelly that he was given. It was in a very small cup, a ‘shot’ size as Cernu put it. He finally put two and two together and realised that there must be alcohol mixed in with the jelly.

He laughed and slurped it up in one.

”That was amazing. The most disgusting thing I’ve ever had.” But, apparently, it was something to smile about. ”Why would someone try to mix lime and orange together?” That was sort of funny.

"I'm partial to the red, white, and blue ones the Yankees make..."

He was quite amused by Louis' reaction to the gelatin concoction. "Want me to get you another one?"

A Britney song began playing which caused Cernunnos to freak out; that song was definitely added to the playlist for him.

He began dancing around shaking his hips. Grabbing some more jelly shots, he handed some over to his friend.
