A Man's World (Kane)

Jason was in a mood since his daughter had gotten into a fight with him. He didn't like the idea of her trying t to talk to muggles, but she had made a muggle friend. Although he wanted to see her happy, but a muggle was not the way to go. She was young and Hogwarts was supposed to be helping with that. So to his mind off al of this he decided to go get a drink.

Walking down the alleyway, he was dressed in a trench coat and some fancy pants. Enough for him to look decent enough for the night to get a drink and maybe get laid. The man tried to avoid getting laid, but the idea of being inside of woman kept going insane. Plus it made for a good story the next day at work, and he could tease poor old Harrison. The man kept walking and he found a bar, and he had seen someone familiar outside, and he asked.

"Hey why you out here, Rosier?" asked Jason.

Kane stood outside of the bar. He came here rather frequently as of late. There wasn't much else to do. Not that he came here and got drunk or anything, no, he would usually have a few drinks and then just sit and take in the things that were going on around him. He found out some pretty interesting things as he sat on that barstool and just listened to those around him. And no one even ever seemed to notice that he wasn't actually drinking the whiskey that was sat in front of him.

He hadn't actually made it inside yet, he was still standing outside with a cigarette grasped between his fingers as he lifted it to his lips. It was an awful habit, he knew, but it was one he had picked up as a teenager and hadn't quite been able to shake. As he inhaled, he heard a familiar voice call out to him and he looked in the direction, seeing a familiar face to which he gave a nod of his head in greeting. "Just grabbing a smoke." He stated the obvious. "What's brought you out, Heartbane?" He asked, putting out the cigarette on the brick wall beside him before dropping it in the ashtray that was placed outside for just that reason. Snow was beginning to fall again. Great.

Jason eyes the man and gave a nod. “A smoke wouldn’t you take that for Knockturn?” he asked or at least wait until he got into the bar. That’s what Jason always tried to do and he was eyeing the man big time and he gave a sigh. “The daughter is going on about muggles. She befriended one.” He sighed.

Kane shrugged his muscles shoulders at the question. ”Guess I wasn’t feeling particularly social tonight.” He admitted, his reason for stopping outside for a smoke before going inside. He was in a strange place, wanting to go in to see what information he could hear but not particularly wanting to deal with most of the people that frequented a place like this. It was quite the problem, but as always, his duties and need to know everything he possibly could won over. He grimaced at the next statement. ”I don’t envy you having to deal with that.” he said honestly. He wasn’t sure what he would do if one of his own children (if and when he had any) tried to befriend a muggle. It would probably be catastrophic.

Jason wasn't feeling particular social either. "I suppose woman like to tear at us don't they." he asked. Sure he was a man angry in bed, but he loved a woman who loved herself. Or took independence, but he also knew the importance of where you came from. "Don't have kids, Rosier." he spoke intently. They were one heartache in a half, but also the greatest gift.

It was the truth. Not that Kane usually minded. But when he was feeling particularly unsocial, it tended to wear on him as well. "Yeah, they do. Not that that's usually a bad thing." Tonight was different, though. He chuckled then when Jason mentioned not having kids. "I don't know, I'll need an heir eventually." He said with a shrug of his shoulders. He hadn't given much thought to having kids passed that.
