((Secret Santa))

Penelope stood outside the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room with a gift bag in hand full of yummy treats and practical objects such as quills to help make studying for various exams the next semester much more of a breeze.

She smiled at the portrait softly asking, "Can you please call Kenzi Mikeal out here? Thank you, Merry Christmas!"

Kenzi gets pulled out of the book she was reading by a stray first year letting her know that there was someone at the portrait looking for her. With a heavy sigh, she pulls herself up from one of the couches and walked over to entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room. Throwing it open, she found a face that she wasn't expecting, Penelope Skeeter, a girl who she has had, at best, limited interactions with. "What do you want?" Kenzi asked, doing her best to keep from letting her annoyance slip into her voice.

"I got you a gift! she answered cheerfully holding up the gift bag. Penelope started handing it to the other girl. "I got you for Secret Santa!"

It took a second for Kenzi to connect the dots, but once she does, her body language instantly becomes less confrontational, "Well, then, what have you got for me?" she said in an excited voice, eyes trailing on the bag that Kenzi noticed in the other girl's hand.

"Some stuff to help with studying for NEWTs and other exams!" Penelope answered smiling as she pulled out some snacks and one of the quills she stuck in there.

Kenzi gave a sly smile, "Practical, I like it," Kenzi picked the snacks out of Penelope's hand, "and not a bad range for the snacks either, these'll go great for some late night study sessions. Thank you."

"You're welcome! I have to head to an advising meeting for my path after graduation. I'll see you around!"

She waved and turned and left hoping Kenzi would have a good break.
