Darcy was at the concession stand grabbing a slice of supreme pizza - his spider could have the toppings he didn't like from it. Accidentally brushing elbows with the person beside him, he froze for a bit before trying to actually speak up somewhat.

"Sorry."

Hopefully the other person wasn't going to react too badly.

Albus was enjoying a slice of pepperoni when he felt someone brush elbows with him, looking over he noticed that it was a blonde male who looked about his age. He gave the other a smile before saying, "It is alright, my name is Albus. What is your's?" He just hoped for some conversation and maybe a response that would explain why his head was spinning, he was at the dance to ask Mackenzie out yet this guy was hooot.

"Oh, I'm Darcy," he replied softly giving a small smile. "Nice to meet you, Albus."

Maybe he could be in the process of making a friend! Butterflies were flying around in his stomach after all.

Albus smiled at the other, "Have you tried the muggle soda?" He asked trying to find something for conversation oh how he just wanted to be able to not feel awkward, first Mackenzie now this guy, what was going on with him? How could he like two people at the same time? When he had come to ask the girl he was sure that he had feelings for out. This was just all wrong, no he was not crushing on this boy who he had just met, there was just no way in hell. He liked Mackenzie and that was final, but did he really?

Albus groaned internally, and wondered why life had decided to turn him on his head, he already knew that this was going to be a painful and confusing year and it had just started. He was hoping for an easy year with no curve balls, yet it seemed like there was other plans in store for him.

Darcy shook his head no. "I find muggle soda too sugary. I just stick to water, tea, and the occasional fruit juice."

It was odd how he actually wasn't having issues talking to Albus. He might as well revel in it while he could.

Feeling his spider try to come out of his pocket, Darcy put the pizza slice on a plate and sat it down to allow the creature to crawl onto the palm of his hand.

"This is my cardinal spider I found in a dungeon peephole. He doesn't have a name yet..."

Albus looked at the spider and smiled, well this was getting interesting, the other had a pet spider. He couldn't help but laugh when he said he the spider didn't have a name yet. "Why not just call him Spidey?" He suggested, as it seemed to be a fitting name for the spider.

"Spidey doesn't feel right for him," Darcy replied as he looked down at his arachnid friend.

"Do you have any pets?" Hopefully one that didn't eat spiders...
