I scream for ice cream (Albus)

Mackenzie walked towards the ice cream shop with Albus besid her. When they arrived she stepped up to the counter and ordered a firecracker double scoop. It was ice cream with popping candy inside. She smiled as the worker scooped the ice cream and her face lit up like a child's.

Albus was really excited for this time to get to know Mackenzie, as truthfully he knew nothing about the girl save who she was related to. She just seemed to nice to a Riddle, which he could understand why she got teased no one expected a Riddle to be nice it just wasn't heard of.

Watching her watch the ice cream get scooped was just enough to give Albus a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach, 'What is this weird feeling, is it idigestion?' Al pondered not knowing that he was beginning to crush hard for the girl, he never had a crush so he did not know what it felt like.

Mackenzie turned to him when she was handed her ice cream "what are you thinking of getting? Whatever it is. It's on me" she said with a wide smile as she ate her ice cream. She felt her stomach turning a bit and it felt like she was nauseous. But she knew it wasn't nausea. She knew it was because she was crushing super hard on Albus Potter. If her grandfather were alive, it would kill him.

Albus ordered his ice cream and felt a little awkward with her paying, however he would never turn down free ice cream, as he waited for it his eyes kept glancing over at her. He wanted nothing more to ask her out right then, yet again he was still confused about what it meant to be in a relationship and if he really wanted that with her.

He really could not describe what he was feeling other than he felt off, could this be a crush he had did not have any past experience with them to know. Al just knew that he felt like he was going to throw up but didn't at the same time. "What are your interests?" He asked in hopes that it would distract him from whatever he was feeling.

Mackenzie paid for both of the ice creams and sat down at a seat by the window. When he asked about her interests she smiled a bit "I like to draw. I spend alot of time reading medical books. I want to be a healer when I graduate" she said pushing her hair out of her face " I sometimes go down to the beach and just listen to the waves crash. It's a calming technique for me"

Albus listened to her as she told him her interests, he found the medical books really interesting as he read law books. "I like to read law books, when my dad is not around that is. I want to be a lawyer when I grow up. I also like the beach it a nice medium to run on and the sound of the waves are really relaxing," He responded with his own list of likes.

Mackenzie smiled when he told her what he liked "seems we have some stuff in common. Both love the beach. Both have passions we don't want our families knowing about. And our families pretty much despise eachother. Like Romeo and Juliet. It's muggle literature. I read muggle books from time to time. But my sister's can never find out. They'd torture and tease me to no end" Mackenzie said shaking her head and sighing " it's hard. Being the black sheep in the family"

Al had no idea what to do, he liked talking to her but there was something else that he could not put his finger on. 'What is it about her that makes me talk at times and others keeps me quiet.' He thought to himself as he found himself getting lost in her eyes.

"Yes definitely, however we are the next generation we should be able to choose friends not based on who their family is. Am I right?" He asked her before giving his cone another lick.

She nodded enthusiastically "absolutely. So I'm making the decision that were friends, Albus Potter" she said with a wide smile. But something in the pit of her stomach told her that she wanted to be more than just friends

Albus just smiled at her comment that they were friends. 'Yes friends, I can work with that,' He thought to himself. "To friendship, He said as he raised his ice cream cone.

Mackenzie raised her own cone and repeated his words "to friendship" she said before licking the cone again "so I hear you're gonna be seeker for the slytherin team this year. It's gonna suck when you lose to Hufflepuff" she said teasing him a bit " I hear they have a wicked beater this year"

"Oh we won't lose, you will be the one crying on the stand," Al replied he had his father's competitive streak and was not going to let his house lose if he could help it. He was going to keep up his training and not let any distractions get in his way, but why was he feeling this way it was getting in the way of focus and well if she was on the Hufflepuff team he maybe dead.

"bold of you to assume I'll be in the stands, Potter. Nope. I'll be up in the air on a broom just like you. I'm the new beater" she said with a wide smile and ate some more of her ice cream " I did it to surprise my dad. Maybe we might have something on common now" she said with a shrug

Albus nodded, and was going to say something when he heard his dad calling. "I hope to see you at the train, but I have to get going. My dad is calling sorry to cut this short," Al couldn't help but feel sad to have to leave so soon, he was enjoying to get to know her more, and try to feel out theses feelings.
