I Want Ice Cream (Hermione)

Raine knew of the famous Hermione Granger who was now Hermione Granger-Weasley, it was odd to hear something about someone so famous and then get them as a secret Santa. Raine didn't really know her to get her something nice so she had a first addition book that was hard to find but it was about the origins of Hogwarts. She didn't know if Hermione would like it but it was the thought for Raine. She sat down at the ice cream shop eating her mint chocolate chip ice cream while she waited.

Hermione arrived to the ice cream parlor somehow avoiding some crazed people; it was rather nice to have her privacy respected nowadays. Who was this young lady who got her name? That could be anybody here! In the meantime, she might as well look at the menu to decide what she wanted to treat herself to.

Raine just knew when she saw the woman walk through the front door of the ice cream parlor, the way the woman held herself was so gorgeous and Raine instantly felt stupid for getting the woman a book. Raine stood up and walked over to the woman and sat down across from her. "Hermione? My name is Raine, I am your secret santa" the young girl started off with.

She gave a warm smile to the young woman that joined her. "Hello! It's nice to meet you, Raine," Hermione greeted as she reached her hand out for a handshake.

Raine smiled politely as she shook the older woman's hand. Raine thought she was absolutely gorgeous and was really jealous that she was in fact beautiful. Raine took a seat and handed the wrapped up book with a bow. It was a first addition and she was so excited but nervous. "Merry Christmas" Raine said.

Hermione looked down at the present handed to her and smiled. Opening the gift, her eyes lit up unable to believe what was in her hands.

"How did you get this, Raine?" she wondered as her smile grew bigger. "I've been wanting to read the original text for years!"

Raine watched as Hermione opened the gift and got happy when the older woman got excited. Success! She was hoping that she liked it. "I tracked it down and when I thought all hope was lost it wasn't and I'm quite glad for it" Raine explained.

Raine smiled happily and nodded to the older woman. "You're welcome and I am glad you like it, now if you'd excuse me work is calling me and I cannot be late. Have a great day Hermione" Raine smiled before leaving with a wave.
