Get back here (Louis/open)

Carina ran down the hall of the train chasing the tiny black creature she called her pet "Castiel get back here!" She shouted as she ran trying her best to avoid running into people. She groaned and tried to pick up speed and blinked for one second when she ran straight into someone sending them both to the ground. She groaned and rubbed her head as they had collided foreheads when they hit "I'm so sorry."

Half way through the journey, Louis wanted to stretch his legs for a bit; so he wandered down the corridor between compartments. He spotted a mirage of cousins, as usual, and popped his head into Hugo's carriage to make sure he was all right. Then, he carried on down the corridor, turning his head left to right and looking into the various compartments.

When he saw 'free the house elves', he stopped, smiled, and thought about going in. But just then; something bonked him right on the forehead. He staggered and fell backwards, palms down. A sharp pain crossed the area of both his forehead and hands, but he tried not to show too much of it.

Looking across from him, he saw Carina Malfoy. He didn't know much about her, other than the fact that she seemed to be surrounded by a group of giggling friends most of the time. He smiled kindly at her.

"Don't worry about it," He assured her pleasantly, "Are you all right?" He asked, voicing and showing concern in his expression. She looked a bit dazed because of it.

Carina nodded still holding her head "yeah I'm fine. Are you?" She asked momentarily distracted. She knew the boy but could not remember his name. Suddenly she remembered why she had been running "oh no where did he go!?" She asked jumping to her feet and looking around for Castiel " crap." She said when she didn't see him anywhere. Just then a streak of black ran past them and Carina jumped to the ground on top of it and picked him up "seriously, cas? Come on. Knock it off." She said in a soft yet stern voice as she held the tiny black kitten

He picked himself up from the ground, not sure whether he should know the answer to 'where did he go'. Wondering to what she was referring to, he felt a waft past his ankle and saw a pair of whiskers: then Carina made a grab for the cat before he could dart off again.

Louis laughed. He had a good-natured sort of laugh, with a sort of harmonic note to it.

He moved to her, and her kitten, and let him sniff his hand. "Hello Castiel, I'm Louis." He looked up at Carina, smiled, and pulled a lock of her hair that had escaped one side and put it gently to the other. He was known for doing things like this without warning, and without really knowing the person at all. Really, he just felt as though he was helping.

"Do you have any toys for him?" He asked, as though nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Carina smiled as the boy pet her cat. Louis. That was his name. She stiffened a but when he moved her hair and looked up at him. She didn't answer immediately as her body was still tingling from his touch "oh toys. Yeah. He has a little toy mouse he likes to play with back in my compartment. He got out when someone opened the door. Little escape artist that he is" she said a small blush creeping across her face " I'm Carina, by the way, Carina Malfoy." She said giving him a smile

"At least he'll have a lot of room to roam once we're back at Hogwarts."

She looked very sweet just then. He noticed that she had turned a little pink, but he didn't make the assumption that it was from his touch. The reason behind it didn't matter, he just knew that it suited her very well.

"You're a little too conspicuous not to notice," He told her, smiling cheekily. "You have a bit of a presence around the school. A lot of people are drawn to you, aren't they?" He chuckled a little, speaking of her girl friends that he usually saw tailgating after her.

"he loves to run on the quidditch fields. He likes to chase the players as they fly" she said laughing a bit. She blushed even more at his next words and nodded " I guess so. My friends say I radiate confidence. It's why people are drawn to me. What about you?" She asked " what do you think draws people to you?"

"I think I agree with them," He confirmed, smiling brightly.

What she next said took him by surprise. What draws people to him? He'd never been asked something like that before. Louis was unaware of anything that could lead her to that conclusion, just as he was blissfully unaware of most things concerning his effect on others.

"I'm not sure I have the same effect," He reasoned, now letting Castiel rub his whiskers against his finger. "Your forehead is a little red..." He said all of a sudden, furrowing his brow in concern as he brushed his fingers just under her hair line. "Are you sure you're all right? I could take a look at it for you."

Carina smiled and laughed softly. She felt the surprise coming off him and rolled her eyes playfully "no need to be so shocked. People do gravitate towards you. You have a certain aura about you. I like it" she said blushing even more to where she was pretty sure she looked like a tomato. When he said her forehead was red she looked up at him "if you want you can. I don't want to be a bother"

"Is that right?" He beamed brightly, still studying her forehead. He wasn't sure about any 'auras', but he supposed there was always the veela blood within him. It had some quite curious powers. His sisters told him there was a way of controlling it; but he didn't really know what was there to control in the first place.

"No," He concluded finally, taking her hand this time and leading her into the empty compartment behind them. He sat her down, and began playing doctor. Well - of course he liked doing things like this for other people. It's what he wanted to do. "This looks like it could bruise and swell a little. Hmm..."

He was cradling her chin in his hand while examining her. He had a very serious expression all of a sudden.

Carina followed him and felt her eyes widen a bit when he gripped her chin. She but her bottom lip softly as she locked eyes with him and felt her heart rate increase. She didn't know why but she felt drawn to him for some reason. She leaned forward on instinct but stopped after a moment before pulling back again. She didn't understand what was going on. But she could smell the cologne on him and it was intoxicating "will I be ok?" She asked her voice hoarse since her throat was so dry due to nerves

Louis lowered his eyes. He met hers with a gentle smile.

"You'll be fine." He said softly, taking his wand and using Episkey to reduce the swelling a little.

He nodded - it seemed to have worked. Realising he was still holding her, he let go. She had very big, bold and beautiful eyes. That's what he was thinking as he looked at her. He had heard that Malfoys had a cold gaze, but he felt nothing but warmth coming from her. Something stirred inside of him, and he quickly smiled.

"Castiel is biting my leg." He chuckled a little. He was. But it was just kitten play: hardly painful. He just let him continue, as he seemed to be enjoying it.

Carina winced a bit at the spell but nodded when he let her go. She however missed the warmth of his touch once it was gone. "how about we just stay in here? We can ride together?" She suggested hoping he would say yes. She didn't want him to leave just yet. She sat back against the seat and watched as Castiel played with his shoe laces "silly little creature"

Louis thought about Faye, Mackenzie and Narkissos in the compartment he had just left. He was sure they wouldn't be too offended if he stayed there for a little bit longer. Well, Narkissos certainly wouldn't mind. Faye would likely follow Narkissos, and Mackenzie had quite a lot of other friends he thought.

So, he smiled in agreement. "All right," He beamed, laughing at Castiel.

"I've just seen my younger cousin who is starting this year," He told her, seeming enthused. "Looks like he'll have no trouble finding friends. I'm hoping he'll be in Hufflepuff, but I have a feeling he'll go to Gryffindor."

"the sorting hat sorts us how it wants. No use trying to understand the method." She said with a shrug. She watched as Castiel jumped up into Louis lap and got comfortable for a nap "looks like you're gonna be here for a while. You know the rule. If a cat chooses to sleep on you, you're not allowed to move. " She laughed and reached out and stroked cas behind the ear which made him pure in Louis lap

James, after waking up from that nap and actually letting Blanche back in the compartment, decided he was going to walk around and get some fresh air before returning.

"Cousin Lou-Lou, where ya at?" he wondered as he passed by all the compartments hitting the "door" frames.

He stopped once spotting Louis and Carina.

"Is she your mouth date?!"

Carina raised an eyebrow as James Potter interrupted them. She rolled her eyes and leaned back I the seat "hello Potter. But really? Mouth date? Can you be any more disgusting? And if so do it elsewhere." She said clearly annoyed already by his presence "but because I know you're not likely to just leave, might as well get comfortable" she was unsure if James knew who she was or not " I'm Carina Malfoy"

Louis chuckled when James made an appearance. Unlike Carina, he was glad of his arrival. He didn't like to have favourites amongst his cousins, but he thought that he got on quite well with James. Carina seemed to know who James was by calling him 'Potter'. The situation was quite amusing. Louis was rarely embarrassed.

"I ran into Carina in the corridor," He explained gently, "Quite literally."

He beamed.

"If you'd brought Blanche along with you, we'd both have dates." Of course, Louis was perfectly unaware of James's secret. He knew that they were no longer together, but Louis always thought they were a good couple. Also, he seemed completely unabashed to refer to Carina as his 'date'.

Carina watched the two interact and looked quickly at Louis when he called her his date. When did that happen? Not that she was complaining. He was rather attractive. She blushed a bit and pushed her hair back "didn't know this was a date, Weasley. Let a girl know next time" she said giving him a wink and laughing softly. "And if it is," she said getting up and sitting in the seat next to his "j feel like I should be sitting here"

"Oh, cool story," he replied amused. James disregarded the comment about Blanche being his date. "Date to a Weird Sisters concert? Definitely."

Guess he might not be the only one getting it today. "Well, I'll leave ya to it. I got a bro to tease."

And with that, he left.

He didn't know if he had said anything wrong, but he waved at James in a good-natured sort of way.

"I probably shouldn't have said anything about Blanche," He said, but didn't seem too remorseful about it. Who knows what was going on there. He could never really understand, he supposed.

Louis looked at Carina sat beside him.

"I heard Blanche was close to your sister, Cassiopeia." He didn't know what there was between the two sisters, really.

Carina shrugged "probably gone off to tease Albus. Speaking of, isn't he your cousin? I heard he's gotten a bit close to a friend of mine. I just don't want it to affect us if I have to kill him for hurting her. Because I will. Mackenzie is like a sister to me." when he mentioned Cassie she shrugged " were not that close. So maybe. I just wouldn't know anything of it"

He wanted to know more about the reason why the sisters weren't close, but he didn't want to pry. It was strange for him to think about not getting along with siblings or cousins. He got along with all of his. Especially his sisters.

"Yeah, James and Albus are my cousins," He said, and then chuckled a little. Albus and Mackenzie, really? That had to be his friend Mackenzie. He wasn't aware of another being at Hogwarts.

"Do you mean Mackenzie Riddle? She's a good friend of mine, too." He told her, beaming. "Albus wouldn't hurt her. He's a good kid."

Carina nodded "yeah. Mackenzie riddle. She's my best friend." She smiled a bit when he said they were friends " good. Then everyone will get along when we all hang out" she said smiling even more at the idea of hanging out with Louis more. "Hey. We should all go to hogsmeade together some time"

”I’d like that,” He said brightly, playing with Castiel by taking out his shoelace and running it about the floor for him to chase.
