Oh cousin of mine (Jace)

Tristan had alot on her mind. Grades, boys, pack troubles, all of it. She sighed and put on her running clothes and a hoody because it was slightly chilly out and walked out of the castle. She made her way to the edge of the forbidden forest and once she made sure there was no one around she ran into the forest. She felt at home there. She felt safe. She smiled as she began to run past all the trees and creatures of the forest. She stopped however when she smelt something. The smell of her cousin, Jace. She followed the scent to a little shack in the woods and raised an eyebrow. She approached the front door and opened it, surprised it was unlocked. She stepped inside and the scent of Jace surrounded her "Jace?" She called out unsure if her cousin was actually there or not

Jace wasn't really of a social, or even a pack kind of werewolf. Sure he still cared about his pack, seeing as he was technically a Lycanthe but after his parents weren't really together and he was more on his mother's side, he took her last name. When he first arrived at Hogwarts, he couldn't stand the smell of all the humans and his mother requested he get a housing outside of the castle, in order to maintain control of himself. However, this led to him to completely ignore everyone, even family aside from his mother and his uncle, Benji. He had finished off a hunt, a deer hanging around his shoulders and the blood of his fresh kill dripped down his bare, scarred chest when he latched onto a familiar scent of his older cousin. "Tris." He harrumphed, speeding up to his home and cursed himself for leaving his door unlocked. Then again, he never expected visitors. "Hello Cousin." Jace said, knowing the last time they properly saw each other he was only young and now he was a tall man, built of muscle. He threw down the deer on his counter, the bones of which cracking and he wiped his hands onto a dirtied rag, raising his eyebrow towards Tristan. "I'm guessing you didn't mean to find me."

Tris turned quickly when she caught onto the fresh scent of Jace, meaning he was close, She smiled when he entered cabin. She eyed the deer and shook her head "Always such an animal." She said teasingly, knowing Jace was more in tune with his inner wolf than most of them "I havent seen uo in years. Where have you been?" She asked looking at the man that her cousin had become "Kira will be pleased. SHe has missed you dearly."

Jace couldn't help but chuckle, leaning against the counter and openly looked at Tristan up and down, trying to scope her out. "It's better to be an animal than like...them." He said, his lip curling up in a snarl and for a moment, his eyes flashed a molten gold. He no longer addressed his wolf side as a different person. They were now one and the same and sometimes, it was hard to tell who was in control. "I've been here, not far but far enough. I was always able to be found but no one really came looking." He admitted with a shrug, running a hand through his untamed curls and even tugged out a twig from the mess, flicking it towards Tristan. "I have missed her too. At first it was strange not having someone bother me all the time." He said bluntly but the shine in his eyes showed he was joking.

Scarlett was out for her nightlty run when she caught two scents she was unfamiliar with. She sniffed a bit more and recognized one as Tristan Lycanthe, a wolf from her pack and a girl from her house. She followed the scent to a little house and furrowed her eyebrows, what was a house doing out her? She stepped forward a bit and called out "Tris? Tristan? Are you in there?" The blonde was hesitative but tentatively approached the house

Jace was about to ask Tristan why she was out in the woods in the first place, when a peregrine falcon landed on his windowsill with almost panicked like cries. "Where were you a moment ago, you silly bird?" He muttered before looking outside the window, latching onto a young woman. The sun was hitting her in a way it looked like she had a halo and Jace momentarily stuttered. "You brought a friend, Tristan." He finally got out, gesturing towards the door and he leaned back against the counter, throwing a small bit of bloody meat towards the falcon.

Tris looked outside and frowned "Scarlett?" She asked walking over to the girl. The two girls spoke in hushed tones, however Scarlett couldnt keep her eyes off of Jace "Who is that?" She asked of her hosue mate who just shook her head "Thats my cousin Jace. You dont wanna get involved." She warned but Scarlett ignored her and approached. She smiled when she saw the bird "Youve got a very intelligent creature there. However, he is not the best of alarms. Might I suggest getting a very big dog?" She said laughing at the joke about a dog, not knowing that Jace himself was a werewolf until she caught the scent. She sniffed the air a few more times before her emerald green eyes locked with his own "Youre part of the pack. Why havent I seen you around?"

Jace, having spent the last five years mostly in wolf form, had better senses than most of his kind and could still hear how they spoke. The way Tristan said not to get involved caused him to smirk, bowing his head to hide the fact he heard it all. Watching Scarlett come closer to him, despite the warning, he stared over at his bird and laughed at her comment about getting a big dog, staring over at Tristan in amusement. "Aye. I don't go to pack meetings. If it's a need to know, I get told by the pack leader." He stated, sending Tristan a bashful look at the fact he still spoke to Tristan's father, just not the rest of the family. "However, if I had known the pack had such...interesting members, I'd have stuck around." He commented, surprising himself at how flirty his comment was.

Scarlett noticed Tristan rolling her eyes and muttered a goodbye before she left. She raised an eyebrow, confused at her friends actions. She then turned to Jace "You are close with Anthony?" She asked surprised at the fact. She then tugged her shirt down a bit as it had risen up during her run "Im Scarlett, by the way. Scarlett Fyre." She said with a small smile

Jace hardly noticed Tristan leaving, unable to remove his eyes off of Scarlett. "Yes actually. We are after all related. He's my uncle. Tristan and I consider each other more cousins because of how close of age we are but technically, she's my aunt." He admitted, shrugging and as she reached to pull her shirt down, he unknowingly licked his lips and slowly, his eyes made his way back up to her face. "Jace Watson. I suppose it's a pleasure to meet you." He mused.

"Wait, if Anthony is your uncle then his kids would be your cousins. Regardless of age." She said laughing a bit. She noticed the licking of his lip and she bit her bottom lip and looked up at him "You suppose eh? I can leave if you want." She said and teasingly took a step backwards towards the door. She watched for his reaction to try and get a read off of him

Jace fought a blush, closing his eyes for a moment with a laugh escaping his lips. "Sorry, I call him my uncle to others... Force of habit. I haven't spoken to people in a long while so I'm sort of at a loss." He admitted and found himself wanting to run out of the hut due to embarrassment. "I suppose I've made a mess of this. Tristan will explain it better." He said, shaking his head and took a step forward when she threatened to leave, an almost angry look on his face. "Don't you dare."

Scarlett giggled at his embarrassment. It was cute. She giggled a bit more when she threatened to leave but her giggled turned into a small gasp at his voice. Her jaw dropped a bit and her chost rose and fell quicker due to the small amount of fear his tone had instilled into her. She bit her bottom lip again and locked eyes with him before a look of defiance and cofnidence spread over her "Why dont you come over here and make me?" Scarlett was never like this. So forward and abrupt. What was it about this boy?

Jace had to look away as she laughed at him, trying not to get more embarrassed. Hearing her heartbeat quicken, the smell of fear filling the air and he found himself getting closer and closer. His eyes had darkened, the golden hue becoming more prominent and soon was standing over her, still with his chest bloody and sweat still formed on his forehead. Resting his hand on the wall above her head, he made it look like he was going to rest it on her waist but instead locked the door she was now rested against. "Now that you're in my sight, I can't seem to want to let you go." He was blunt and honest, his tone deeper than usual.

Scarlett looked up at him. She slowly licked her lips as she kept her eyes locked with his "Who said I wanted to go anywhere?" She couldnt keep her eyes off him. What she wouldnt give to trace her nails down that chiseled chest of his. Or to just play with his hair. She had no idea where these thoughts came from, she had just met him. But damn did she want him.

"Just wanted to make sure you know you're stuck now." Jace said smoothly, not really noticing that his hand was resting on her hip and that his fingers were dancing along her exposed skin. He was hooked already and it had only been five minutes. "What brings you into the woods anyway?" He whispered into her ear, breathing in her scent that he couldn't admit was driving him crazy.

Scarlett chuckled. She reached out a hand and swiped up a drop of sweat dripping down his chest "Looks like you got me." She noticed some blod on his neck and she bit her lip nervously before she leaned over and made a bold move of licking the blood off of his tanned skin

Jace's heart almost halted at the feeling of her hand on his chest, trailing the sweat running down him. She looked nervous for a moment and he was confused at the fact she was leaning closer, until he felt her tongue on his body. "Oh," He gasped out and grasped her hips harder, yanking her closer until they were chest to chest. "You're a tease." He almost growled out, lifting up her chin to face him and enjoyed how small she was in his arms.

Scarlett let out a tiny yelp when he yanked her hips and pulled her to his body. She let out a tiny moan at the fell of his body "Well you know, its all about teasing and not about the pleasing. Theres only one guy that I will ever please, and that is my mate." She said moving a hand to his hair and playing with it gently "Have you found your mate, Jace?" She asked enjoying the taste of his name on her tongue

Jace's chest rumbled in a growl at the idea of her simply teasing him. It was almost cruel as she must have some idea of what she's doing to him. Leaning into her hand, he looked down at her and twirled the end of her hair gently, smirking wildly. At the mention of his mate, he halted and thought of how his heart pounded faster than it would on one of his longer runs and how he felt as alive as he did in wolf form. "Yes." He simply said, now smiling with dimples forming.

Scarlett smiled when he leaned into his touch and scratched his head gently, knowing it drove most boys crazy. When he said that he had found his mate she frowned. She pulled her hand away and looked down at the floor "I... I better go then. I dont want you to get in trouble with her." She said trying to get underneath him as she was pinned to the door

Jace's inner wolf practically purred at the scratch and instantly knew he fucked up when she began to move away from him. However, his grip only tightened to keep her completely still. "I meant..." He started to say, to attract her attention and lifted up her chin, his eyes now a molten gold to reveal just how thin the line was between man and wolf. "I'm looking at her." He said slowly and let her go, giving her the space she needs to process it all.

Scarlett gasped when his grip tightened and she was forced to look into his eyes. He had the eyes of his wolf and her eyes flashed to the same golden color as his as she looked into them. "J-Jace..." She said softly when he said that he was looking at his mate. He meant her. She frowned when he moved away and pouted a bit wrapping her arms around his waist "Dont." She said referring to him not moving away. She wanted to be near him.

Jace stared down at the ground, almost embarrassed at how open he was being and how vulnerable and weak he was being. Staring down at the smaller woman, feeling her arms wrap around his waist, he couldn't help but smile. "You accept me then?" He mused, his arms winding around her and rested his chin on the top of her head, unable to contain how happy he was.

Scarlett didnt say anything. She just nodded and enhaled his scent. The scent of her mate. Her Jace. She nuzzled into his neck and pressed a soft kiss to his collar bone "Yes. I accept you." She said knowing the acceptance had to be done verbally for the mating spell to enact between them. She gasped softly as she felt a warmth in her stomach and looked up at Jace.
