James found himself in Knockturn Alley as a way to pass time before returning home from last minute Christmas shopping; he felt like treating himself to something from Borgin and Burkes. His main concern was if he could smuggle something from here into his room without getting caught. Looking around, he went to a shelf trying to figure out what might catch his eye.

"Confused... When you're used to seeing men and women together, you just can't help but wonder if you're normal. I imagine it's different if you come from a different upbringing like Cernu. He pretty much came out as soon as he realized." James' mind couldn't help but to go back to when Atticus seemed to have slipped up about the whole not being into girls thing.

Atticus sighed and ran his hands over his face and into his hair "Its just so complicated. Why do people have to be so damn judgemental about the whole thing. Its like if you dont like the opposite sex then they attack. Its stupid."

Shrugging, James sighed. "Unfortunately, people are often afraid of what they don't understand. it's just how life is."

"Its fucking stupid." Atticus said picking up a vial of unicorn blood and sticking it in his pocket when the shop keep wasn't looking. He smirked and sent James a sly wink

"Not much we can really do about it though except wait for society to catch up," he replied. James whispered to the other, "You sure that's a good idea?"

Atticus smirked "I got this man." He said and nodded to the shopkeep who looked over at them "Anyway, have you decided on your purchases besides the dragon scales?"

James sighed unsure how to feel about the shoplifting. "I guess it'll do for right now. I don't want dad to get too suspicious from Lily covering for me..."
