A Shot in the Dark (Atticus)

Scorpius could not get Atticus out of his mind he wondered why that was. He was scared though he had no idea of how the other thought of him. He was sitting on the sofa in front of the fire just staring into the blaze not paying attention to what was going on around him. No he could not tell him his feelings he could not act on them if he was going to be on he would be disowned by his father if he did so. He sighed and just continued to be lost in his thoughts.

ntered the common room and saw Scorpius sitting in front of the fire. He seemed completely zoned out. He smirked at the perfect opportunity to scare his friend. He creeped up behind him and jumped on him from behind "Gotcha!" He laughed and rolled off his friend and sat in the spot beside him "Watcha doing in here, snake?" He said using the childhood nickname Atticus had given Scorpius

Sorp jumped when someone yelled behind him. Though hearing the familiar voice of his friend. "Hey." He said with a smile on his face. "Just thinking." He said as he positioned himself so that he was looking at Atticus. He wanted to tell him what he was thinking about but he was scared to do so he did not want to ruin their friendship if Atticus did not feel the same way.

Atticus smiled and his bright blue eyes lit up as the flames of the fire place danced across them "Whatcha thinking about Scorp?" He asked plopping down on the couch and looking across the room at the blonde haired boy. The boy was the picture perfect image of his father, that much was true. But Scorpius was nothing like Draco Malfoy. And for that Atticus was happy. He sighed a bit knowing he could never be with the boy that he had fallen so madly in love with over the years at school
