Liv had been excited for this events for weeks and what it was going to end up doing. She just wanted to bring the students together and the Back to School feast, wasn't as successful. Autumn was a time for students to enjoy the last bit of the year and enjoy themselves. She was working the Charms stand and keeping an eye out for her students and saying hello to those who were used to saying hello to her.

She loved teaching students, and what it entailed.

Even though she was the head of the bad house, she still didn't see them as bad. A familiar face caught her attention and she gave them a bit of a smile. "James I was hoping you'd stop by."

She heard the stories going around campus.

James knew it'd be impossible, but he wanted one chance to blend in and not be noticed that wouldn't involve the use of the invisibility cloak. Just one. It wasn't meant to be when simply going in the mere direction of someone meant he had no choice but to talk to Luna's mum. He was hoping to have somewhat more prep time before this.

"Er, hey, Professor Goode," he greeted, smiling sheepishly.

Liv knew all about the James and Luna rumors, and hadn't been shocked. Well she knew her housemates were shocked, but she had raised her to be kind and caring. She had been worrying about Luna during her Ashton days, and wanted her daughter to be with a good man.

"How's classes? I hear you doing quite the job."

She hadn't spoke to Luna in a couple days, only to tell her about his findings in France.

"Classes have been, er, alright, I guess..."

He could already feel the nerves hit him, and it wasn't even a formal setting. James fidgeted with the end of his jacket sleeves.

Liv had just wanted Luna to make the right decisions with guys. She made the mistake for falling for a Quiditch player, and it left her a single mother. Although if it wasn't for her husband, she had no clue what she would do.

"I heard you are talking to Luna. She's a lucky girl."

She hoped Luna would push James to do better.

"Er, yeah, we've been talkin'... You're not gonna get on me like Bonnie did, right..?"

Damn. She didn't even give a chance for normal professor-student small talk before switching gears.

Liv knew that Bonnie liked to play a big sister despite being the little sister. She had let out a soft chuckle at James words, and she hoped he knew Bonnie meant well.

"Bonnie likes to play like a big sister. Even though I am the mother."

She just wanted her kids to be happy.

"Luna is a good girl. I also know our house isn't happy about it."

She wished some of the Slytherins were more kind-hearted.

It probably would've been less awkward if she outright asked if they made it to shagging.

"Er, yeah, it's unavoidable in my own house too..."

Liv knew it would be the talk of the school and she hoped Luna wouldn't get too distracted.

"I just don't want you too getting distracted from your studies. It's a big year. I know your father wouldn't too happy if the Potter heir let a girl define him." she commented.

She had to sound somewhat strict.

"I know I sound like a bitch, just want you both to be responsible."

James scratched his head. "Er, last time I saw him, he asked me 'bout girls. He didn't press me further..."

His own dad didn't even know he was mostly into other blokes. At least he didn't have to think up a bullshit excuse to get out of that question for once.

"We're responsible! I ain't a womanizer..."

Liv didn't know what to make of Luna dating James, but it worried her. She knew the tabloids loved to make a big deal out of the little simplest detail of being a Potter.

"Okay, I just don't want you guys getting caught up in tabloids. Edith is a psychopath."

She pointed out, despite knowing damn well Bonnie had been best friends with Marilyn. For the sake of the love of her children, she had supported it.

"I support you."

"Thanks..?"

This was so fucking awkward. James didn't know what to say, how he should present himself in front of her. There was no real preparation. Although class wasn't currently in session, he had no idea if he was talking to her as a professor or as Luna's love interest.

It was simply strange.

He looked at her somewhat bug-eyed.
