too cool (cherry)

Emery had been sitting in the library waiting for Cherry to come and study with her. She had been doing her best to keep focusing on school and getting good grades. She was Quidditch captain now which meant she had to take things more serious now and prove to the world she can do it. She was waiting for Cherry and had been writing with her quill. She knew this year would be a confusing year.

It was surreal to know that this was the last first time in the library at the start of the school year. Cherry tried to not think about it too much; how would she get anything done if she got sentimental over the amount of friends she'd leave behind after this year? There was NEWTS prep to worry about, what she was going to do after Hogwarts...

Sliding into the chair across from Emerald, Cherry pulled out some of her textbooks from her bookbag. "Hey, Emery! How's being a quidditch captain going?"

Emery smiled when she saw Cherry come over and join here. "I was wondering when you came." she said as she got her quill with a smile. "It's good. I'm letting Potter join the team. You think it's a good idea  ?"

"I was getting too wistful in the halls," Cherry admitted with embarrassment; she didn't spend all seven years at Hogwarts, but it hit just the same. She pulled out an inkwell to dip her quill into and immediately ceased her dipping. "Which Potter are we talking about..?"

Emery had wanted to make sure her Quidditch team was going to thrive. She looked at Cherry, "Do you think I am wrong for letting James rejoin the team?"

"James is rejoining the team?! Is he under the Imperius Curse?"

That was something Cherry never thought would happen.

Emery had been wondering if it was Imperious Curse. "People on the train got him to do it."

She did believe strongly in second chances.

@Cherry Darling

"Really? I thought he was never going to play quidditch again. He did drop out mid-year!"

Cherry pushed the inkwell slightly to the side. Studying could wait a little while longer.

"What position will he play? I know seeker isn't an option..."

Emery didn't know what to make but she took over seeker last year, and brought them to victory. She looked at Cherry with a bit of a sigh. "He wants to be chaser."


"I want to give him a second chance."


@Cherry Darling

"A chaser? That makes more sense than trying to be one of the beaters..."

James wasn't known for his physical strength; he was very lanky or, as some would put it, twinky.

The thought of James Potter being a beater would make Emery cringe. He'd be broken into pieces in air, and she had given Cherry a bit of a smile. "Yeah, and the site would not be pretty. He might be good, but Albus is more physically fit." she pointed out.

Emery didn't do her research on how small Harry Potter is, but she had to admit the boys height had been pretty impressive. She had dipped her quill in ink and she looked at Cherry. "Wasn't he like 5.5, like I would be taller than him." she commented.

She was 5.6 which was average height for a girl, and she commented.

"The boys are attractive, you got to give them that."

Giggling, Cherry rolled her eyes. "I didn't say they weren't good-looking! I just said that they don't have sturdy builds!"

She rested her arms on the pages of her book. "But since you want to talk boys... Is there anyone tickling your fancy?"

Emery took a second to think about who attracted her in the school, and she thought of one. "Ethan and Faolan, because those two are very handsome."

They were the only two decent guys, she knew didn't see her body.

"How about you? Any crushes?"

"I see you're keeping it in the house!" Cherry teased, finding Emery's taste to be quite amusing. "What do you like about them?"

They weren't her type, which was weird to think about as Cherry didn't think she had a type. There was just something about them that didn't grab her attention in that way. Ethan was nice; she did enjoy talking to him, but she could only ever see him as a friend at most.

"Um, not right now..." Her cheeks flushed. It was embarrassing to not have someone to mention!

Emery had a lot of guys who liked going after her and most annoyed her. Ryker was one of her least favorites, but they had a past, and she'd probably hook up with him. "I feel like Gryffindor man are little bit better than some of the other man. Slytherin men are just no, and Ravenclaw there is Ryker."

Hufflepuffs were just too nice, and Louis charmed every girl.

"Come on there isn't someone? How about a celebrity?"

"Better? In what way?"

Cherry could definitely guess shared values, but there was probably another reason since it was Emery....

She shook her head. "I can't think of anyone at the moment, no."

Emery wanted Cherry to find love in so many ways, and she let out a laugh. "Well Slytherin boys are how do we say it, they only care about keeping their status or are too grueling to care." she commented, she never met a good Slytherin boy who saw her as anything other some blood traitor. "Ravenclaw they are too involved in their studies, and I am pretty sure half of them are gay, which there is nothing wrong with that." she chuckled.

Plus Ryker was in that house, and she was too caught up in him. "Then Hufflepuffs are just too kind or either arrogant to process how annoying they can be. Plus you got Louis who slept with every girl you can think of." she commented as she began writing some notes down.

"Was that a bad analysis?"
