Be afraid (open)

Tristan was not on to be afraid of the things in the dark, they were afraid of her. Ever since her second year she had a new found pride and confidence. She was a creature of the night. And creatures of the night we're not afraid. She sat on the branch of a large tree with a book as she read the pages of the fascinating story before her.

Ollie didn't sleep all that much to say the least. He loved to walk around and at night you could steal the best kind of things in his mind. No one was around and he sometimes snuck into Hogsmeade to steal. His parents would kill him, but everything was his as long a she took it. Tonight he was in the Forbidden Forest seeing what scared students liked to drop whenever something in the woods scared them.

He spotted a girl sitting on a large branch, and he shouted. "Be careful. Werewolves might be lurking, or even worse dementors." he said with a chuckle. The likelihood of that was slim, but it was cool to screw around with the students. Especially the first years, he liked playing around.

Tristan looked down and saw one of the Slytherin boys down on the ground, "I'm not afraid of any of that." The scar on her torso was a constant reminder to never be afraid again. Being afraid can get you killed. She closed her book, putting in her back then jumped to the ground, landing perfectly on her feet, "You shouldn't be out here."

Ollie didn't understand how much of a hypocrite people could be. He looked at the girl with an eye roll, "Well maybe you should because they do exist, and they will kill you." he commented. He knew they could be brutal and had picked up a little artifact and let out a bit of a smirk at it.

"Neither of us should be out here, but yet here we are." he chuckled. He wil never follow the rules, and Grayson would end up cursing him to the grave, but he didn't care. That man was too much of a posh asshole to function in society, and it broke his heart, but Ollie had more street smarts.

"Ollie Crouch, by the way."

Was this boy really telling her that werewolves existed? She was a damn werewolf, for Christ's sake. "Yes, I know that they exist. Thank you for that information." When he introduced himself she nodded, "Tristan Kilmartin. Now I have permission to be here. I assume you do not?" She looked him up and down a bit, being able to clearly see him in the dark forest thanks to her special gift.

Ollie had been a little bit humbled at this girl's attempt to humble him. He had crossed his arms, "Are you some kind of creature that allows you to be in here?" he commented. He didn't know many werewolves, and his parents had been very eery of them due to their past with attacking people. "I don't have permission, but rules are beneath me."

"Tristan, that's an interesting name."

Tristan eyes went wide when he asked if she was some kind of creature. She didn't share that bit of information with many people, only the ones that needed to know such as close friends and staff, "That's a rather stupid question."

When he said the rules were beneath him she laughed, "You are quite full of yourself, aren't you?" She shrugged at his statement regarding her name, "My father wanted a boy. I'm also named after my grandfather."

Ollie had liked to think The Crouch family helped make him above the law, but he knew his family had been tainted. “I am part of the Crouch family take your pick.” he said crossing his arms. He needed to play the part even if he didn’t really care about the Crouch family. “It’s a pretty name I have to say.”

Tristan looked at him funny when he said her name was pretty, she didn't normally get that, "Thanks. I guess. I doubt my grandfather would like being called pretty though." Her grandfather was a strict retired author director, he was a stern man except with Tristan, his only grand daughter, "I take it you and your family are close then?"

Ollie didn’t respect the Crouch family, but it was a good way to get out of trouble. He had been leaning against a tree now enjoying himself and listening. “No I hate them. We still are part of the Sacred Twenty Eight.”

“What house are you in? Let me guess Ravenclaw.”

Tristan didn't know if she should be impressed or feel attacked based on his guessing of her house, "Yes I am. No need to guess your house. You're obviously a Slytherin." The Kilmartin weren't part of the sacred 28, but they were still a respected pureblood family. "So why are you out here?"

Ollie could be a bit judgmental at times, despite being against purism. He just liked being a dick at times. “Yes I am in Slytherin and it’s because I’m resourceful and sly as they come.” he commented, and he also was sly as they came not afraid to do what it took to get what he needed to get done. “I am out here picking up belongings students left behind, and complete my collection:”

"Oh I see. Well aren't you self reflective." She didn't know why he felt the need to explain his sorting to her, she didn't hate Slytherins. One of her best friends was a Slytherin. She raised an eyebrow at him, "So you're stealing then?"

Ollie didn't think it was stealing if no one was looking for it. Sure he also took from people who cared about things, but he also didn't think it was all that big of a deal. "Is it stealing if they left it? They just didn't come back, and I took it." he said crossing his arms giving her a bit of a smirk. "Everything is yours, so you take it."

Good mentality to have about things in his mind. It got him pretty far.

"Tweaking a misplaced item is still stealing none the less." She said crossed her arms over her chest "Perhaps they just haven't returned for it yet. It could be something important or sentimental." She did her best to ignore his charming smirk, "You can't just take whatever you want. The world doesn't work that way."

Ollie didn't care how the world worked, if it mattered that much. Perhaps they ought to have taken better of it, and he let out a bit of a shrug. "Maybe they should be more responsible. The world is every man for himself if you want to suceed." he said with a stern glare at Tristan. "My parents raised me to believe that, perhaps you should try stealing. Saves you a lot of money too and I must say you are too pretty to follow rules."
