Ragnar is part of the middle children of his family, he was born in the medieval times to his parents and has a few siblings. Before the plague had hit their home, he was betrothed to a young woman he held no affection for, but he did feel things for the younger sister and vice versa. The two had begun to see one behind everyone's back, never allowing anyone to know what was truly going on between the two, when she had fell pregnant with his child she was banished from their village and he vowed to come for her the moment he was able too. He was not going to leave his true love behind. When the black plague hit, a lot of people died along with his sister-in-law and his nieces and nephews, something that hit the family hard and it wasn't long after was Ragnar turned into a vampire along with those in his family remaining.

Staying true to his word he went to find his love and found her on the verge of death from childbirth, sadly their daughter had been stillborn leaving his love to cling on for life, not thinking twice... he turned his beautiful love and made her immortal along with himself. After the time for grieving was finished the two married and continued to travel together through the decades and carrying the ashes of their fallen daughter with them.
