Atticus had set up a baking stand in the entrance hall for lunch time with a price sign (as above) and a sign underneath that which read: all proceeds will go towards Carkitt Orphanage. He hadn't been baking a lot recently, having been busy with studying and spending as much time as possible with his friends before leaving Hogwarts, but that morning he felt like doing something practical and unrelated to studies. He was sat behind the stand with everything in display, as well as several containers underneath holding extras: just in case.

As she headed down the corridor, Copelyn stopped and smiled slightly at the bake stand; she could get a yummy treat before going to attempt talking with the mermaids!

"Hello, Atticus," she murmured, as she pulled out her wallet and dug out some sickles. "Chocolate eclair, please?"

"Hi Copelyn!" he greeted, holding out his hand to accept the sickles. Pouring them inside of a tin, he smiled at her and picked one of the eclairs out with a pair of tongs, placing it on a paper plate and handing it to her. "Thanks, I hope you like it. How have you been?"

"You're welcome." Handing him the sickles, Copelyn replied, "I'm okay as usual. Lots and lots of studying! I was afraid Discordia was going to come poke me in the eye with a needle. She kept staring at me while I practiced my pronunciation of Gobbledegook vowels!" She glanced around the entrance hall with a wide grimace on her face hoping her dormmate wasn't around to hear that...

"How about you?"

Meredith could smell the pastries from across the hall and suddenly her mouth was watering. It smelled amazing. She made her way to the stand and smiled at Atticus, "Hi there, Atti bear. I'll take a slice of carrot cake, an apple turn over, and a strawberry tart." As she placed a handful of galleons on the table.
