With the formal coming up, it was time for Aquila and her bestie to have a sleepover! They would've had it in Gryffindor Tower this time, but it was being invaded by hoards of toads. It didn't bother Aquila too much, though, as she had plenty of photos from Alayna's birthday party she wanted to show Gabby before handing them out to the various guests. And then they had to talk dates!

Aquila was sitting criss-crossed on Gabby's bed sorting through the polaroids she had scattered all around. "Has he asked you yet? You're going to look so gorgeous, Gabby! It's going to be such a fun night!"

Gabby had never been so nervous about a school dance before in her life! Most of the time she either went with Aquila as friends or she just skipped it. It never really mattered to her all that much either way. But this time she actually had a boyfriend that she was hoping to go with. She wouldn't be nervous about that in particular, she liked the idea of actually having a date. The thing that worried her was that Ethan hadn't actually asked her yet! She was rummaging through her trunk, looking for her favorite pair of pajamas when Aquila spoke. "No! He hasn't even mentioned it! What if he just doesn't want to go so he isn't asking? I already bought the perfect dress and everything because I just assumed he would." She said with a huff before flopping onto the bed on her back, looking up at the ceiling of the room. "What about you? Do you have a date yet?" She asked, not wanting to make it all about her!

"He hasn't asked yet?!" Aquila couldn't believe it! He's her boyfriend; he should be foaming at the mouth just to ask her out! She would if she and Gabby were more than friends... "I thought he would've by now!"

Wait... There could be a positive reason for this!

"What if he's working to make a big show out of it?! That'd be cute of him if he was planning on making it special!"

Shaking her head, she looked at one of the photos she took. It captured the moment that letter arrived...

"Gabby, wasn't that surprise party crazy?!"

Gabby felt a little better, like maybe she wasn't being completely dramatic when Aquila seemed to share her thoughts that Ethan would have asked her by now. She wasn't normally the dramatic type but she hated not knowing whether he would even ask her or not! But then Aquila, as was normal for her, made things all better. "You know, maybe that is what he is planning... I guess I shouldn't be too worried yet." She said, feeling a bit lighter with the thought that Aquila seemed pretty sure that he would still ask her to go with him. She rolled over to look at the picture that Aquila was holding. "It was! I still want to know what that letter said!" Of course, there were rumors... There was always rumors going around but some of them were so outlandish that she didn't even want to allow herself to believe while others were just boring! She wanted to know what that letter had really said!

"I heard something about that there might be another Nott sibling, but I don't know how true that is!"

It was weird to think about the possibility of having another cousin around. She knew it couldn't have been on Astoria's end as they definitely would've met, which left...

Now that would just add another layer to Theodore's awfulness! Why couldn't her cousins just live with her family full-time?!

"What did you think it said?"

She handed her friend the photo of the owl, mid-air, dropping the package.
