• Grew up in a poor family to parents who didn't really want children but felt that they didn't really have a choice when it happened. They spent far too much money on drugs and alcohol to properly care for her since they spent most of their time unemployed anyway.
  
• She grew up in cramped little apartments that were usually paid for by the government but she never felt like less for that, she made a lot of friends in those apartment buildings and found that there were good families and kind people just down on their luck there. Most of them weren't like her own parents. It was always inevitable that they would be evicted for disturbing the peace of the building or just not even bothering to pay their portion of the rent within a few months though so she moved around a lot.
  
• The happiest day of her life was when she got her letter to attend Ilvermorny, of course, her parents let her go because that meant that they didn't have to deal with her and the strange things that happened around her. They could also say that their daughter got to go to some fancy boarding school on a full scholarship which always seemed to make them feel all high and mighty.
  
• Due to her childhood, she has grown up guarded. She tries not to get attached to people because it always ends with her being ripped away from anyone she cares about. She puts up a tough front to hide that she is actually just a scared child who never actually knew love.
