Doubt and trust (Carina)

Ptolemy wasn't enjoying the Christmas holidays as much as he should be. He realised that Alayna had been through a lot and needed support, but it was a lot for Ptolemy to take on. Alayna was constantly worried about Atticus, and Ptolemy was quickly feeling set aside and under appreciated. He tried to convince himself that this wasn't the reason for him visiting Carina at her house, but it had quite a bit to do with it. He also missed Carina being around: he wasn't used to her not being around.

When he arrived in the floo network from Diagon, he stepped out of the fireplace and looked around the Malfoy manor. He expected Carina would be there to greet him, but where was she?

Carina rolled her eyes when he tried a simple unlocking spell, "Gee. It's almost as if I'd already thought of that." She was trying to think of something se when he exploded the door open causing her to scream a bit in surprise, "Ptolemy!" Did he ready just do that? "my father's gonna kill me." She debated if she should actually go inside, but her curiosity got the better of her. She entered the office and looked around, "It's just a normal office? Why would he have this so locked down?" She walked around exploring the news articles that were around the desk. She held one up that held a scathing review of her family's part in the war, "I see now...."
