we need a resolution ((atticus))

Ever since the dance, the dorm had gotten more chaotic from constant conversations about quidditch to Chang being an even worse version of himself. Macmillan was getting exhausted of it; he couldn't wait for the match to come and go for the former to settle down a little. The latter was more perplexing to figure out. He begun helping Atticus with room upkeep as there was no way it would stay somewhat organized the rate Chang had been trashing things up. Although he knew his roommate was having a tough time lately, he couldn't help but be frustrated. He figured Chang should consider himself lucky that nobody at this school collected rent or he would've kicked him out to the common room until he got himself back together.

Macmillan fell onto the bed with his hand clutched on one of Chang's textbooks from second year. Why did he keep those sort of things? Then he ended up throwing the book right over to Chang's bed. That was better. He decided he was going to try taking a siesta when he heard the door open. Of course. He hoped it was any of his other roommates so he could escape the moping.

When Atticus entered the dormitory, the first thing he saw was a book - faced down - looking as though it had been thrown there. Bending down, he picked it up off the floor and looked at Macmillan, who looked as though he was settling down for a nap.

"If he ate as much as he read, he'd be a right heffa."

He would have laughed at that, but he was looking through some of the notes Chang had wrote in the book. It was all like hard equations and things: a lot of symbols without words. But there were pages and pages of it.

"I don't understand what he does half the time. Surely he doesn't need to put that much energy into studying."

Thankfully, it was just Atticus. Macmillan couldn't bear to think what potential freakout Chang could have if he saw all of his things being cleaned up yet again.

"Yeah, he'd be," he agreed laughing. "He's more of a twink than Cernu. No homo!"

At this point, he didn't know if he was saying that for himself or to mock his twat of a brother.

Hm, he was in the mood to bite an apple. Was there an apple around? He couldn't be bothered to find out.

"It feels like his studying has gotten worse. It's fucking mental, bro."

Did Chang even have hobbies?

Atticus laughed, then immediately moved forward to start tidying up whatever was around the dormitory and out of place. Everything had to be a certain way. Even when the elves came and did their tidying, Atticus had to correct them a little bit. Perhaps they would be offended by that, he didn't know, but he also didn't particularly care. As long as man is happy, elf is happy.

"His cheekbones are more defined now that he's not eating," Atticus reasoned, although he clearly hated the thought of it. "He needs to be force fed a massive pie."

Grinning, Atticus turned and looked at Macmillan.

"And what about you? How're you doing lately?" He looked pretty well...

It was obvious from the get go that Macmillan's cleaning would never fulfill Atticus' standards, but it was superior to the alternative of letting Chang wallow in his mess.

"I keep thinking protein shakes as he has the least amount of meat on his bones out of the entire dorm." He kicked his shoes off of his feet then off of the bed; he'd gotten used to Atticus being their built-in maid. "He didn't like that idea... What would get him to act normally? He's so on edge!"

"I've been well, not much to report on. I think I plan on burning the rest of the wardrobe I had before becoming athletic. Those vests are itchy and uncomfortable. I don't know how twat thinks they suit me. I think he's a sadist!"

"I think they suit you," he said, eyeing over his shoulders. "When your shoulders broaden from exercise, a vest emphasises the effect. I'm not sure if that's what your brother was thinking. He seems more the type to get you a patterned shirt with cuff links and expect you to wear it at the weekends when lounging around the castle."

Atticus sighed. He considered Macmillan again. He could trust him, couldn't he? They had been mates, he thought. Perhaps not inseparable, but he had been away for quite a while...

"I've been talking to James."

He wanted to see what his reaction would be.

"Nah, he just wants me to look 'smart' rather than be comfortable. He's absolutely insufferable to be around whenever clothes are involved!"

Macmillan raised an eyebrow. That was interesting.

"I'm guessing he has to do with Chang's weirdness or are you going somewhere else with this?"
