Stupid little lamb (Louis)

Mackenzie was enjoying the little bit of alone time she had. Lately, she had been keeping an eye on a few things for her father which took up alot of time. She sighed as she floated in the center of the pool, just enjoying the quiet. However, the quiet quickly went away as the entry doors to the pool banged open. She groaned in annoyance before looking over at who had entered. Oh.... This could be fun.

This was Louis's preferred method of exercise to do every now and then, but he was by no means as athletic as James or Albus. He found the waters relaxing, and his muscles ached just enough by the end of it: there was no over exertion involved, just something to provide vitality to the body.

When he entered the pool room in his swimming shorts, carrying a towel, he looked over at the water and saw Mackenzie floating there by herself. Louis beamed at her. He didn't want to disturb whatever it was that she was doing, so he slipped into the waters from the side and took off in a length of front crawl, and another of backstroke. That was just the warm up, of course.

"How are you, Mackenzie?" he asked cheerfully, hanging off the side and preparing to do another length.

Mackenzie watched Louis as he did lengths of the pool. He was very graceful with his movements. How was it that everything he did liked like art work? "I'm good, Louis. How are you? How's your girlfriend?" She didn't give a fuck about hazel. Didn't really like her, really. She was annoying. "The voice drive you to wanna stab your ears out yet?"

"That's good to hear. I'm well, and she is well."

He smiled at her, then did another length underwater. When his head emerged at the other side, he shook his blond hair away from his face. Droplets of water clung to his long lashes.

"What voice, sorry?" he asked pleasantly, not following. "I do like your new hair, by the way. It really suits you."

Mackenzie gave a cheeky smile and nodded, "Well then that's great." She watches him swim again and felt herself drawn to watching the water droplets fall from his hair. "hazels voice. Constantly whining. Like nails on a chalk board. It would drive me to murder." He would probably take that as a joke. He always did. She smiled when he said he liked her hair, "Thanks. I think you're the only one that does. My sister's make fun of me for it."

"Oh, I see. It doesn't sound like that to me," he said pleasantly, momentarily concerned for her. Perhaps there was something interfering with her hearing. He might have to read more on healing magic to be able to estimate a rough diagnosis. "Perhaps you have some water in your ears," he suggested finally, beaming.

He swam slower this time - just a casual breast stroke to stay moving, but not so much that he couldn't talk to her.

"Perhaps they're just not used to it," he reasoned, "Give it a little while, and they will. I think you look very pretty."

"Well of course it doesn't sound like that to you. You're fucking her. So it probably sounds like music to you." She said, rolling her eyes. "I doubt there is water in my ears, Lou. But you're welcome to check." She said with a smirk. She shrugged at the excuse he made for his sisters, "No. Theyre just bitches sometimes. I'm used to it." She blushed a bit when he said she was pretty, "You think I'm pretty?"

"Yes, I do. A lot of people do."

He smiled brilliantly at her.

"You do seem to be a little bit distant though. A bit quieter than usual. Is there anything I can help with?"

Mackenzie didn't think anyone really looked at her like that. Growing up with Matilda and Medea, she was used to being out on the back burner when it came to things like that, "I doubt it's anything you can make a difference with, Louis. Just some stuff going on at home. And I really think I'm just lonely. Carina is busy with cheerleading and Alaynas always with Rowle now."

"Does cheerleading not interest you? Perhaps you and Carina could do it together?"

It was sad to hear she was feeling lonely. He felt sympathetic towards her. It must have been hard being in a large family of siblings like that, but Louis did have a very large family himself. Perhaps Mackenzie didn't connect with her sisters the way Louis (believed he) connected with his sisters and cousins.

"I don't know. I'm not sure if I'm a cheerleading type of girl. I think I could maybe be on the team. I like to fly, so I don't see why I couldn't do it." The idea of being on the team was something that intrigued her. "So what are you doing down here?" She asked, as she continued to float on her back.
