Up with the stars (Lien)

Lily was bored. She barely saw her brother anymore. And she never really bonded with Albus the way she did with James. She sat near the window sill of the astronomy tower, just looking up at the sky. It was after curfew, but she didn't really care about stuff like that anymore. Who would with everything going on in her life. She sighed, pulling her legs to her chest and just staring out the window.

"Tsh."

So they really were together now? He felt a momentary haze of annoyance. It was obvious that something was happening between them the entire time Lien was in the picture, and he'd hated it. Now he really knew that Alayna was just being completely false - about everything. It was typical. She really was a bitch.

"Yes, I have an idea. I'm going to leave them to it, but if I'm feeling particularly bored, I'll turn them both into toads."

Hearing Lily speak of killing someone or using an Unforgiveable Curse was a little surprising. He was sure she was just feeling venomous. Then again, he had thought about hurting Alayna. At least in his head.

Lily watched Lien to see what his reaction would be. Annoyance, typical. She, however, was confused when he said he was going to leave them to their relationship, "Really? You're not going to try to fight him or call her out for being a cheating low life skank?" What gives? Lily didn't understand older kids. They didn't always get involved. Lily loved getting involved.

"I don't know!" he snapped suddenly, glaring.

"I'm just fine with the way things are!"

He could get on with his studies, he could avoid the drama, he could pretend it all just never happened.

Lily flinched and took a step back on instinct when he snapped at her. She didn't like it when people did that with her. She frowned and looked at him, "Alright then." She bit at her lip and looked around, "I'm actually getting a bit tired now. Could you take me back to Gryffindor tower? I don't want to run into another prefect and get crap about being out."

Lien sighed. She looked frightened by his sudden outburst. He had to remind himself that she was a lot younger than him...

"I was just going to suggest the same thing," he muttered quietly, turning to lead her back down the stairs of the astronomy tower. "Try to keep up. I need to be heading back myself soon."

He headed towards Gryffindor tower after descending the Astronomy tower stairs. Last time he had done that at night, he'd been with James.

"I already said I had to give you detention for this, so you're not getting away with anything," he reminded her firmly.

Lily nodded and followed him down the stairs, "I can keep up." Sure, he had long legs. But she was fast. She groaned when he reminded her that he had to give her a detention, "Can't we just forget about that part?" She was sure he had done things he wasn't supposed to do before. Unless he was a REAL good two shoes.

"No. We can't. You have to face the consequences, or you'll just think you have free reign of everywhere because you're a Potter."

He smirked at her.

Then he saw her off at the portrait hole. The last time he'd been here, it was with Alayna. And he - they - well...

That was history now.

"Go on. Get going," he said.
