coffee and donuts ((open))

It was his planning period, and Reed was going to take full advantage of the staff lounge before having to make the trek back to his classroom. Ah, this spot was so relaxing! It was stocked up with all sorts of treats, a couple decks of cards, and a radio that was currently playing a soap opera. Rolling his eyes, Reed walked over to the radio to change it to one of the music stations. How many of his colleagues actually listened to those soaps? They were so melodramatic and too romance focused! "That's more epic!" he exclaimed as rock music began blasting through the room to be heard through the corridors. Now where were those donuts?

Reed started to tear down the room trying to find such sugary delights.

"Where are my donuts?!" he screamed. He was looking forward to some all morning!

Skylar was walking past the staff room when she heard a sudden blast of music. She wondered who could be in there causing such a racket. She stepped inside and saw one of her colleagues screaming about donuts. She raised an eyebrow, "Did you lose something, Professor Jackson?" She asked, pouring herself a cup of coffee.

Lose anything?! How can he lose something he didn't have in the first place?? Reed turned around and clutched his chest seeing Healer Ashton. Oh she was stunning...

"Uh, I was looking for donuts. I was really craving a donut. There aren't any donuts..."

It was the exact opposite of epic!

Skylar noticed he clutched into chest and her inner healer sprung up real quick, "Are you feeling any pain in your chest?" Her Italian accent was thick and hard to miss, "Is there any tingling in your left arm?" She raised an eyebrow and laughed when he mentioned donuts, "I see. I think I saw Professor Maddox with a box of donuts earlier. He said something about The Library and a little girl. Perhaps Miss Vega has her daughter with her today."

"Oh, no, Healer Ashton. I, uh, just didn't expect to see you, yeah!" Just as beautiful as the vampiric divination professor but far less intimidating. Reed nodded. "So, they're still within the castle walls?! Do you know if there's any left?!" Scratching his head, he wondered if he should try some schooltime wooing; was Healer Ashton single? He should figure that out first.

"Oh. Well in that case, my apologies. I did not mean to give you a fright." She said, giving him a kind smile. "I would not know. I tend to stay away from sweets. But you could check the library and see if the little principessa left you any." She was referring to Miss Vegas daughter, Athena. She had met the little girl briefly and she was a delight.

Cracking a smile, he slowly raised his thumb up. 'It's fine. I-I should've expected to not be the only employee in here or whatever. I thought about those donuts in all of my classes that I was pretty sure one of the kids would turn me into one!" In particular, James had stopped by while skipping a class and told him to marry a donut if he wanted one so badly. Those students!

"Hey, I may just do that! I need my donut fix before the rest of the day, y'know? Oughta fill that sugar craving!"

"I see." She said, after he finished speaking. "Cravings can be very intense." As if by magic, a house elf appeared holding a half empty box of donuts and put it on the table before bowing and disappearing again, "Ah. It's appears miss Vega has finished with the donuts. And there appear to be a few left. So you can finally have your donut." She said, giving him a wide smile.

Seeing the house elf with a box of donuts, Reed waved and thanked them. "Boo yah!" He rubbed his palms together and looked at the contents of the box. "Glazed donut?! Don't mind if I do..." Reed grabbed a glazed donut and looked at Skylar. "Want one?"

Skylar chuckled as he finally got his donut. The joy on his face was almost tangible. She found it rather endearing. When he offered her one she held her hand up, "Oh no thank you. I do not eat donuts. I try to stay away from sugary drinks and snacks. It's a much healthier life style I find."

Reed was a bit surprised at her declining a donut although it made a lot of sense with her occupation as a healer. "Then what do you have as treats?" He supposed fruits were sugary, but he couldn't see them as being substantial unless you had a bunch at once.

"I drink alot of smoothies and fruit juices. I always have a couple of pieces of fruit in my office in case I get snacky." She said, feeling a bit embarrassed. Was it weird that she didn't eat alot of sugar? She would never understand the British culture. Tea and cookies every day multiple times a day. So unhealthy, "Well maybe just one wouldn't hurt."

"Any good smoothies..?" He was familiar with how quite a few included ingredients such as Nutella or peanut butter; Reed often saw recipes on social media that he didn't have the time or energy to try to recreate himself. "I like bananas! And strawberries..."
