To Tabitha, Hog's Head and the Three Broomsticks were reprehensible, so she had Hazel meet up with her at Elixir Cafe. It was cleaner and more modern looking at the very least. She was dying to hear if any progress had been made in the arrangement between her and Jovian Medina; if the Cartwrights were to stay on this side of the pond, they were going to have to find prestigious families to associate with to raise their credibility and posterity. Tabitha was always a hands-off parent with the help of nannies while her children were younger and for not taking too much care or notice of them, now that they're more independent, unless they were ruining her social standing. She tapped her foot near the entrance of the cafe waiting for her daughter to show up.

Hazel was not excited to see her mother since she'd know, her mother would encourage her to spend time with Jovian. She'd been seeing Louis, and heard Jovian and Emery were talking, hopefully, that would take some stress off her. She entered to see her mother and crossed her arms. "Well well the devil seemed to beat me here," she commented. Her mother disappointed her that she'd expect her to marry Jovian. "I've let Emerald fall for Jovian," she spoke trying to rip the bandage off hoping her mother wouldn't be as mad.

"Of course I did, Hazel. It's called punctuality. A very important trait to have if it's not socially advantageous to be fashionably late. Got it?" Tabitha also wanted to guarantee that Hazel wouldn't try entering one of those disgusting establishments that littered Britain. Where were the standards?

Squinting, Tabitha slowly pushed open the door. "What..?"

Hazel felt her mother took the reasoning of being on time to be stupid. "You are meeting with your daughter, how does that matter? I get that, but I'm your daughter," she said with annoyance. Her mother tended to forget that she had kids and treated them like they were business proposals. "Oh, you didn't hear? Emery and Jovian slept together, and have been spending a lot of time together. I've been with Louis Weasley." she said crossing her arms.

She didn't respond to that as she glanced at the menu to see what was the most appetizing. It didn't seem to be much like the Starbucks menus. Hm, guess she'd have to get one of those flavored Gillywaters. It was important to keep hydrated for her luxurious skin.

"What do you mean you and Jovian haven't been seeing each other? Do you realize the amount of work I put into finding you a suitable husband?!"

Why were her younger children so ungrateful? She sacrificed so much!

"Why would I see someone who doesn't value me? You know dad wouldn't be too thrilled you set me up with him," she spoke with her arms crossed. "I don't care how much work you put in, but Jovian doesn't know how to value women. He judged Emery for playing Quidditch which is a healthy way for letting her anger out." she spoke with a sigh. Her mother didn't know how horrible he was. "Then again I suppose you'd rather me produce kids," she said sternly.

"I quite personally find the Weasleys more refined, and you got Emery fucking him, so there is your reason to marry. Or would you rather marry Emery off to a pimp, because she didn't meet your standards?" said Hazel who was determined to get out of this marriage, "I love you mom, but I'd like to be happy. You know if the press knew you set your daughters up with abusive husbands, they'd cancel you, right?" she commented.

Ignoring Hazel's complaints, Tabitha began placing her order to the barista. Kids these days! They were so entitled expecting success and happiness to come straight to them without any work. It was frustrating! Why did they hate obeying her? Mothers know best, and she wanted them to acknowledge that fact.

"Jovian isn't abusive. He's old-fashioned which I think you might just need with how bratty you are! Those Weasleys are hardly refined. A few of them are known druggies according to the tabloids. I can't let such debauchery taint our blood, especially when very few of them are pureblood now!"
