Those two! (Narks)

Faye didn't know why but she was feeling more adventurous lately: less awkward in herself and her body, so she was wearing a two-piece in the prefect's bathroom today. She tried to convince herself that it wasn't because she'd got so much attention from James, because that would be a problem. James Potter was... James Potter after all. She couldn't actually like him, could she?

She'd filled the tub with water and suds, and lowered herself inside. Obviously, the one she was waiting for was Narks. It was very unlikely that she'd share bathwater with anyone else.

He nodded. Narkissos couldn't argue that James wasn't. "But why is he being annoying is the question. His pranks are always something a first year could pull off..."

"Cherry said he was really creepy about it. He was insisting to be let into Louis' dorm to see what he was missing by not being Head Boy."

"That is a little creepy..."

Hmm.

"Does it have something to do with the fact that his family is sort of like that? I don't know. I don't really remember Fred when he was at school. but he was pretty similar wasn't he?" She'd never thought this much about James Potter before. "What do you think about it?"

"Yes, I believe so. He dropped out, but he had his wand confiscated and destroyed as a result of all of his prank-related underaged magic usage. My father couldn't believe that a Weasley, of all people, would be so foolish to get in such a situation."

Narkissos felt his brain attempting to make sense of James. It was puzzling. "I don't know, really. I still don't know why he stopped playing quidditch."

"I feel stupid," she said, seemingly out of the blue, while they were talking about James. "I actually thought he was into me or something. But it turns out he was just messing around, as always..."

She looked annoyed with herself.

"I can't feel much sympathy for him though. Not because of that, I mean just with who he is... Where he comes from. It's not exactly a hard life, is it."

Narkissos frowned and moved closer to pat her on the back. "It would be every girl's fantasy coming true if he wasn't toying with you to get out of being written up!"

"Such a hard life that his biggest issue is a lack of attention. He gets so little attention that his family appears in the papers whenever they breathe. Who'll think of poor wittle James Potter?"

That baby voice was cringe; he began cracking up at himself.

She appreciated the pat on the back. Coming from anyone else except Narks, she would have seen it as patronising. Narks was just supporting her in this case, she knew that.

His baby voice had her cracking up a bit as well.

"I suppose I never thought of it that way," she confessed, playing with a handful of bubbles in her hand, "But I still cannot be sympathetic. If it was anyone else, would we excuse them for their behaviour? No, we wouldn't."

She sighed.

"Let's talk about someone else. I feel like we are complying to his agenda if we talk more about James Potter..."

Narkissos couldn't stand bloody James Sirius Potter. He was only popular for being born. If he was anybody else, less people would thirst for him and defend him; that was his theory. Take away the luster of being the son of Harry Potter and he'd only be an annoyance.

"Who do we want to discuss? There are quite a few options... We could brainstorm how to prevent Jordan from accessing alcohol."

Faye grinned.

“There must be some sort of jinx we can put on her, where bottles fly away from her hands every time she goes near them.”

Laughing, she put her shoulders into the water and looked content.

“We need to talk about what happened at Alayna’s party,” she said, wriggling her brows.

((I’m just going to say this takes place post-Party cause come on... Faye n Narks need to discuss!))

"That'd be clever. But since she's of age and we can't completely control it, maybe we need to figure out a ward that'd bar alcohol however many kilometers from her house's quarters..."

There was a lot of ways they could go about it, but it had to be feasible with little maintenance.

She paused to dramatically wave out her hand in a pointed gesture.

"What the hell was that?"

Narkissos snickered thinking about that clan of Americans; they clearly didn't figure out how to fit into the British social hierarchy after years of being on this side of the pond.

"I would've understood the outburst if Malfoy had dropped to her knees, but she didn't. Why does Hazel think we want her to marry some abuser? Nobody knew she was engaged in the first place! Weirdo, much?"
