Escorting Doran around a few establishments in Hogsmeade felt like eternity; Medea was relieved when she felt as if she could finally ditch him without potentially making dad upset. Now all she had to do was find Kenzie to make her earn her keep by playing big sister to Doran. She stomped through the village holding onto the few shopping bags she acquired over the course of the day.

Mackenzie was outside the Hogs head, letting this guy flirt with her. She could smell fire whiskey on his breath and he looked like he was one drink away from a coma, but it amused her none the less. She was about to shut him down when she heard her name being shouted from near by. She knew what that meant, Doran duty. She didn't know why daddy didn't just put him on the street or up for adoption or something. He was the odd one out in the family. The ugly duckling, so to speak. She sighed and shoved the guy away from her, "Ok I'm done playing now. Family calls." She walked away from him and towards the sound of her sisters voice, "What? I'm right here."

Medea felt as if her younger sister was taking too long to stop trying hard to be like Mats. "Hello, Kenzie," she greeted coldly. "I suppose you might have a clue why dad put me up to play chaperone to Doran instead of having you or Gabby fill the role?" Of course, she wasn't going to bother asking Gabby the same question; she was the most bearable of her siblings other than Mats.

Mackenzie rolled her eyes and shrugged, "No idea. But it sucks for you. And in all honesty, better you than me. I have half a mind to sell him half the time." She really didn't understand why they kept him around. Yeah, he was family. But did that really matter, "Why aren't you asking daddy this? He's the one that put you on Doran duty after all. So he'd probably be the one to be able to answer why."

"You two are closer than age than I am to him!" Medea rebutted before hissing at some random passersby who were engaging in a ludicrous amount of PDA. "Don't you two have more in common because of that?" That was very simplistic thinking, but she was trying to come up with anything to get out of it. "Because I felt like asking you instead."

"yeah that age things not gonna work on me, sis. You know I'd sooner cut the little spawn than take him to ice cream. He's safer with you." She said with a fake smile, "As for Gabby. I have no clue why she couldn't do it. She probably wouldn't hurt him. Hopefully. You can go ask her though while I return to what I was doing before. Which might get to lead into who I'm doing. So if you don't mind?"

Medea's eyes were full of fury. "Safer with ME?! How is he safer with me? He wastes my time to take care of more important matters!" She wasn't going to give up on putting Kenzie in her place. "You can fuck desperate guys later, you're no Mats. Earn your keep!" Her body stiffened in an attempt to appear intimidating.

"Yes, safer with you. Go ahead and leave him with me if you want but dont be surprised if I return home without him." She said with a shrug, "Or I can just do it now and let the little brat fend for himself. He's a Riddle. It's about time he acts like one." She narrowed her glare and stepped up to her sisters frame, "You. Don't. Intimidate. Me. Medea."

Medea raised an eyebrow at Kenzie's choice of words. Safer? Without him? Oh, what a vicious brat! "Would you really leave our dear brother to the wolves? You know you'll lose all goodwill from our parents if you let any harm come to Doran? After all, he is to carry the family name..." She walked around her sister eyeing her down.

I'm sure the wolves are very nice." She said in a fake sweet voice with a smile. But then she started going on about the family name and her parents and he smile disappeared. She knew she was right. But she damn sure wasn't going to admit that, "He brings lack of fear to the Riddle name. Let me know when he casts his first unforgivable. Or hexes someone past repair. Then I'll be impressed and acknowledge him as family. Until then, no thanks." She said, keeping eye contact with her sister the whole time.

Oh, Kenzie... Always too emotional. Medea always feared she'd be the death of their grandfather's legacy. The death of their reign. The death of their reputation.

Medea cackled before lightly grabbing one of her strands of hair. "You're so careless. Do you not understand what our father has told us? Pulling those cards will erode the trust we've gained. Doran will blossom into it, just give him time."

"Fuck them. Fuck all of them. I want their fear. I want them to cover when I enter the room. I want to be like he was!" She said, of course, referring to their Grandfather, "He used to invoke such terror in people. Fear is just a more intimate version of respect." She laughed when she said Dorain would grow into his role, "Alright. If you say so." She would believe it when she saw it. Doran was a little fucking Gryffindor nerd with a good boy complex. It was annoying as fuck

"You're so scary that you strike fear into the hearts of rabbits," Medea taunted; she found Mackenzie's approach to her aspirations to be foolish. How could anyone take her seriously when she's laying out her hopes for all of Hogsmeade to know? "I don't know how you expect to rule people outside of your friend group..."

Mackenzie hated being locked. Especially by her sisters. They had no idea what she was capable of, "Daddy will get Me ready when the time is right. And I don't question daddy. Do you question daddy? She asked with a raised eyebrow, "Because if you do, I need to know what size cup you wear because you've got balls."
