Brand New Day (Mackenzie)

He was finally getting used to the train after seven years of traveling by it to Hogwarts, however he still preferred to travel by boat. Sliding into a compartment as he took a sip from the bottle of undisclosed liquid that he had smuggled onto the train, finding a seat and putting his feet up on to the back of the seat in front of him. Not caring what other's thought he just wanted to be comfortable for the trip.

Was this the year that he finally would have a break? He hoped so but he was not sure as no one seemed to be able to handle him or who he was. Everyone seemed to want him to change and that was not something that he wanted to do. He was proud of his Viking heritage, that he was not going to drop it just because he had to be a certain way to fit in. That being said this year he did leave his axe at home as he was not going to risk it being discovered and taken again. His hands pulled at the button up collar as he longed for his loose fitting clothes, he was too distracted by how tight his clothes were that he did not notice that someone else had entered the compartment.

Mackenzie decided to stretch her legs and walked down the hall between the compartments. As she walked past, what she thought was an empty compartment, Magnus hissed in her ear. She paused and looked down at her scaled companion, "In there?" She looked to the compartment he wanted her to go in and cocked her head, she didn't know the guy in there. But Magnus seemed to determined for her to enter. So she did. "Hello." She said, making her presence known before sitting across from him, "Are you new here?" She didn't recognize the guy at all.

Jaxon had managed to keep to himself for the first six years though this time it had seemed that he had already messed up. He just hoped that it they would forget him soon after their conversation ended but when he turned to look at the intruder he was face to face with a beautiful blonde. 'Well this plan had had backfired,' he thought to himself as he suddenly found his mouth dry as he tried to find words.

This was new to him, not just the fact that he was face to face with a fellow student but also the fact that he was tongue tied. "Well I am not new to Hogwarts just stuck to myself for the last several years, however I would not mind being bothered by a beauty such as yourself," he added as he flashed her a smile hoping that she would stay for some conversation at least.

"Must have done a good job then. I've never seen you before." She was curious though. She thought she knew everyone. She had noticed he had called her beautiful, but she didn't acknowledge it. She just learned back, stroking Magnus gently, "He wanted me to come in. No clue why." She was confused as to why Magnus had been so adamant about her going into the compartment. "You got a name?"

"Well have to say that is a smart snake. The name is Jaxon, take a seat." He replied to her as he took another sip from his bottle before turning to look at her again. [b]"Care for a drink?" he said as he offered her the bottle after she sat down.

There was something about her that made him him very curious and made him want to know more about her.

Mackenzie smiled at him, "Mackenzie. And yes, he is rather brilliant." She said, giving the onyx black snake a kiss on the nose. "Perhaps, what is it?" She asked, looking at the bottle suspiciously. She wasnt one to trust people easily, but she also wasn't one to turn down a drink.

"It is a homemade brew, though think it is rather close to what you might call a beer," he said just then Mjollnir stuck his head out from under the seat where he had curled up under for the trip. Jaxon's hand slipped down and scratched his head without a word. "This guy down here is is Mjollnir, normally he just sleeps the entire trip down though he seems he is curious as to who I am talking to," he said with a smile as he moved his leg slightly so that Mackenzie could see his dog.

Mackenzie took the flask and took a swig. It burned going down her throat but she enjoyed the pain. She knew that with the pain usually followed a fun night of things she didn't remember, "Not bad. It's got a smooth burn." Her eyes lit up when he said he had a dog and she dropped to her knees in front of him, "Oh my goodness. Hello, my sweet baby boy. Aren't you such a good boy? Yes you are." She cooed over the dog as she pet him and gave him kisses on the head
